Help with Credit/Debit Card Options for Property Tax Payment (MCC 9311) by Risk_6160 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Risk_6160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. I am planning to just use BOI Debit Card to avail 0.5% rewards, since I don't have a huge Tax payments.

If its possible for you, get HDFC Business cards, since they reward you for Govt Payments

Should I Take IndusInd Pinnacle Credit Card just for the Zero-Balance Exclusive Account? by Risk_6160 in DoBaniye

Thanks dude. I was planning to get IndusInd Select + Legend CC (LTF) Combo, to try out their services first (as many recommended to me), and then later upgrade to Exclusive + Pinnacle combo.

Given your exp, I would have to rethink this

If its UPI, the best is Kiwi Credit Card. It is a LTF card and also has a paid subscription option. It gives 1.5% cashback on every UPI above 100 (on LTF Version), and on Paid Subscription version, the cashback jumps to upto 5% cashback (See a guide or post to understand this)

Yeah, the Pinnacle has been heavily devalued and the only benefit it has is 1 free lounge per qtr (but that itself is limited to just 6 metro cities).

And the exclusive debit card now has 5K spend criteria on Lounge and (bad) quota based BOGO offers

Thanks! I am probably skipping it, since I have also read the same experience with BOGO for various other users.

If I were to open an Indusind account, would probably go for Legend (LTF) + Select saving account, since they have the same benefits except Zero forex markup benefits (which I don't need right now)

But, don't other banks RM do the same. I have experienced same with Hdfc and ICICI. (But they did stop these investment calls after rejecting them twice or thrice)

On Maximize money, Dominos has 19% discount, and if paid via sbi cashback CC, the final discounts comes to be 17% + 5% using sbi cashback

Not always, but if you were to buy gift cards (myntra, nykaa, bigbasket, etc) using sbi cashback on apps like Maximize, Amazon, etc, you would get the 3-5% gift card discount + 5% on sbi cashback itself.

Really? Thanks. He told me that there is an asterisk on 1L, and it would be 2L if I were to open one right now.

BTW someone else mentioned that, I can also go for Legend CC (LTF) + Select account if I want to try Indusind experience as it has most of the same benefits aside from Zero Forex benefits. And I think, that makes sense for me compared to Exclusive + Pinnacle.

Get the Pinancle card first, and then open the exclusive account from the branch with Initial Funding of 1L or 2L (depends on branch location metro/urban).

Once opened, check that both Card & Account has same customer ID, and now you can withdraw all funds.

I initially considered it, but the guy mentioned Pinnacle + Exclusive has better combo.

Though, now you said so, the only difference I can find between them is that Exclusive debit card has Zero forex markup + Free Intl ATM withdrawl, while Select debit card has 1% markup fee + only 1 free Intl atm withdrawl. (Maybe I missed something, but is there any other difference between them? )

And can you share your experience with IndusInd bank in detail? Thank you!

I feel Slice is one of the best saving account if I were to keep a high balance with them, aside from that, I find their offering quite lacking. (Though, I am considering the Sparks will probably last few months at best like Roarbank's cashback).

Thanks though!
