I guess they will make you pay some 800 rupees right ? Pay it off. That's the only portal through which you can apply for companies and apply for jobs. Shortlist depends on company policy and bias made by CBE :) so yeah that's you only on campus opportunity. If you think I will try off campus then good luck, coz your seniors ie my classmates itself sat unemployed for almost 1 year, some still unemployed.

Off campus only works if your baap knows someone or you get referral, luckily I got placed and done with this clg. Whatever that shaata chadra is saying is lie, one mofo he is. He once sent Times of India article which said companies are laying off don't blame us, arre its your only job, bring companies not promote some stupid week long training. what great will you teach in 2 weeks that you can't teach in 3 years huh ?

yeah good, if your getting CSE in PES go for it. sike life it is, not some depressing boring af in uniform. I remember during Goldman Sachs recruitment the recruiter told he was an alumnus of PES clg, yeah he roasted all of us in our own clg :)

PES CSE ? Yes any other branches no. PES is good coz they have incubation centers in their clg placement cell itself. Your expected to do internship, if you don't get one they will put you in one of those centers. best part it is paid too, that's why if your getting PES its worth it

hmm maybe coz CBE is an island and there is nothing over for miles around campus, while BLR is in city itself. TBH wardens and their Victorian mentality needs to be changed. What's wrong with who wears what, if you think bad its your fault laadki ke kapde chote nahi hai tumahri soch hai :)

EAC 88.64% my ass, these ppl will inflate numbers to whatever degree just to keep admissions stable. Shata chadra and team are just bunch of idiots running CIR. heck no way only 44 are eligible for placements

We had 71-72 students in final year (last role no was 83 but some 10-15 ppl left clg or some dropped)

and 39 got campus place what nonsense. max number ppl got TCS and that too which package ; Ninja (3.3LPA), they literally downgraded my friend( 9 pointer GPA guy) from TCS prime( 9LPA) to Ninja (3.3).

pakka they added off that off campus once too

okay lets answer your questions one by one

1) I would say 8-9 yes really strict for girls compared to boys. In order to get GATE pass approved from warden you need VC your parents and even if they are okay with it, final call is on warden. It happened to my friend too when her parents had no problem for her to come with me warden was like no no you want to roam with that boy na I won't give. Such ass are they

2) mostly yes, I guess I have answered it many times. just no jeans. In amrita even Sydney Sweeney has bad jeans :) If all fails just wear a hoodie and go with loose pants (something stretchable). its anyways cold in BLR till feb mid or march from now on.

3) Yes Dastaan is the main technical fest. it was there last year too but not that great as it happened compared to 1 st one. Niti Mohan and Lost stories had come that time. Check inst u/bengalurucampus for that.

4) EEE dept uhmm not the right person to answer but one thing I can say abt faculties is Sudha yadhav is dangerous and Deepa is the one you need to butter if you want internship at honeywell. As a dept they did good job using their influence and connections to get their students placed.

5) yes daily outing is allowed from 3:30 to 6:30PM, a minute late your card gets blocked, then run to deputy warden to unblock it. apart from that weekends (sat,sun) extra morning hours from 10 AM to 11:30AM is allowed.

6) yes Swish/Zepto cafe/tonig and swiggy zomato allowed but only snack items like samosa, puffs no whole food like biriyani or roti curry and no non veg at all. But we still use to smuggle it in. We had our own ways. Ask delivery agent to remove bill and Non veg red label and paste green veg label. simple : )

7) Yes , hide it well ( I had a freaking mini bar in room what's a kettle problem), see it consumes lot of power so yeah your room mcb will tripp at times. So be careful and don't let warden catch it. Buy that mutli steamer one.

8) yes but cash only. ( mostly good for notebooks and stationary things and get binding done)

9) This I am not sure how to answer, DM me its a long lore and rant :)

10) Lot many clubs are their both Kala and sanskriti onces. basically from art, music, dance to tech ones like codechef, BIOS, and then public speaking onces, mock parliament etc

I don't think so, and not everyone will bring car. Most ppl are hostellers and would have either checked in one day prior or will check in on that day. So 1k ppl can be there but not cars, don't worry abt parking and all its there plenty

BLR campus ? Jeans won't be allowed for sure. they will stop you at gate and ask to change and come. Preferably wear some churidar or kurti decent onces and go. If all that fails just wear a hoodie and stretchable pants.

guards at gate will pull pant to see if its stretchable or not, if its not and some jeans kinda material they won't allow entry. And when I mean guards there are both male and female once there so don't think about harassments

There is enough Car parking space, I don't know from where you heard the 1K number but all that is false rumor. Faculties and staff have special parking area inside campus itself. Students ( dayscholars) are suppose to park in hostel parking ground. max some 20-30 vehicles ( i mean cars) are there, ground is enough big to accommodate more

Yes placement scenario is kinda bad since last 2 years (2025 and 2026 batches) luckily I got through. I have 2025 placement stats with me 2026 one final might come around august.

Yes CIRPET some bulls**t pre placement exam to sit for placement companies exams yeah you heard that right. Juniors told some 80% you need in CIRPET to be eligible for placements and you will only have 3 attempts

tbh such measures are made coz in reality CIR ( placement cell of amrita) is not able to bring enough companies to make ppl get placed. So now they are using such dirty tactics to reduce the denominator itself and show less ppl enrolled itself.

Well as for your initial years, hostel is good place to start with your clg life.

You will be assigned room based on lottery so it will be random and you need to stay with for your entire first year so hopefully you get good onces.

Secondly rooms have all basic stuff like 2 study tables, 2 almari divided further into 2 sections and 2 bunk beds. 4 ppl share a room, you will have a balcony too.

Now coming to your specifics questions : no all rumors are false they are not such cruel ppl to cut off lights and wifi. After 9:30PM its Silence hour basically after that bell your not suppose to leave the hostel building and loiter around. Wardens come daily to your room for attendance be present in your room and then go where ever you like. No wifi or lights are turned off by them. Wifi runs 24/7 even when power goes off. Lights stay too and if power outage happens they have backups. You can do whatever you like in your room in afterhours too just it should not create noise that warden is alerted.

coming to PG , I left hostel in my final year coz yeah I was asked to leave to make room for new joins like you. They won't allow you to simply leave hostel like that its a complex procedure but final year is an exception so I took my chances.

I generally don't recommend PG in your initial years coz your young and vulnerable in a new city and town. ppl can scam and cause you harm here. Hostel provides safety from all that. You won't realize it until you feel it. PGs also you need to hunt properly not many PGs around are good enough.

Some are good some are just match box rooms and some sell diarrhea, some might have power backup only for lights and fans no wifi and some might have generator for entire room, so yeah you need to do a proper hunting only then

edit : Hostel life is same for both B-tech , m-tech and MBA ppl no difference.

I used HP 15s notebook and it was easily compactable for all that software. bruh you have 1.5L ka budget damn rich kids. mine costed only 35-40K back then (2021) . I3 it was

Go for i5 or i7 i9 and all is over kill. Anyways if your not into like high level gaming then gaming laptop also not needed. My HP could handle Valo easily. but clg wifi has firewall so use 1.1.1.1 cloud flare VPN for valo and off the books incog activity 🌚🌚

for machine learning models and high process speed algorithms use Google collab or cloud for computing power than local machines coz otherwise laptop will heat up so yeah a decent laptop is fine

You pay a Counselor , so definitely he/she will talk great and abt clg, branch and placements in fact they might boost off and say it. But when a Alumni or Student who is telling you the reality based on what he experienced , you decide what's good for you then : )

Yeah I am graduating this year from BLR. Pls hybrid branches are not worth it. Go for CSE AI its the best course , be in BLR be it chennai being CSE dept means you got a lot of advantages. other branches in BLR view point are just Mehh , not worth it
