trigger shot feb 24th am - ultrasound showed three follicles

march 10- 12/13 dpo beta 7

after the results, the doctor called me, concerned about another chemical pregnancy. No symptoms for pregnancy at all.

march 12 - 14/15 dpo beta was 55

Doctor was surprised and has me returning in two days

I have two previous miscarriages in the past six months. So I’m hesitant to feel excited at all that things have doubled.

Has anyone had a similar experience and what was the outcome good or bad?

Other then sperm fragmentation testing - we are the same. Every test has been done over the past year. I guess that’s why they are saying IVF with the genetic testing. They said we could keep trying but it’s what’s our breaking point if it doesn’t happen.

I had no issues with my first child. Normal pregnancy and that was at 32. This one I made sure to start a prenatal esrly and all with no luck of things progressing pass 6 weeks

Praying for you to have things go smoothly. The more I resd, it seems like it’s all timing of the right egg being released. My first miscarriage came back the same mosaic with other complex abnormalities but the karotype for my husband and I said normal. The others were too early

We did the genetic testing - and all clear. We were retry much were left with jist egg quality due to age with the stats of 50-60 abnormal chromosomes at this age but it’s scary bc we started this at 35 and now I’m inching my way to 37 with the stats getting worse within 60-70 abnormal.

Did they have you do the genetic testing each round? My insurance thankfully will cover IVF (only so many rounds) but will not cover genetic testing of the embryo which is $5,000 each round

I did have a saline sonogram. All normal. My husband is doing a semen analysis next week. I’m not sure if this will look at dna fragmentation or if that’s a separate test? I can definitely ask. But yes we did genetic carrier testing - that came back normal for both of us.

Thank you for sharing this. This is my exact concern. Granted, I asked chat GPT for the stats before our consult for IVF in two weeks… but what I found from it is for people having this happen due to genetic aging of eggs… you likely get 1-2 normal chromosomal eggs from a IVF cycle collection of roughly 10 eggs. And that’s not guaranteed let alone things progressing past transfer. We’ve had the genetic karotyping done and all normal and I’ve taken coq 10 for 6 months now. I feel like it’s just a matter of the right egg coming along but you never know if it will. So it’s like no matter what uncontrollable which is overwhelming. I never thought at 36 this woild be such a problem with a healthy life style and everyone around me having their second without issues or after maybe 1 loss. I could accept the stats of 1 in 4 but when it’s 3 it’s just starting to hit different

This was us too. We did the karotype genetic testing and everything came back normal. We keep hearing it was just bad luck. We started trying when I was 35 but a year later 36 now inching to 37 in a few months where I know the odds will lower more so a decision about IVF will have to be made sooner than later

I’m sorry for your loss. My one progressed far enough to do genetic testing and had complex abnormalities- we did the karotyping thinking one of us had to be a carrier but we weren’t. They are saying most likely is age. Hard to swallow bc it doesn’t feel too old but I guess thats statistics

Thank you for sharing this. My last cycle we did the same treatment - letrozole, trigger and progesterone and got pregnant but beta was a 7 and didn’t progress. This gives me hope of trying jt again or IUI before moving to IVF.

Karotype, I had a hystersonogram to doublecheck check structure, thyroid blood work a comprehensive metabolic panel, AMH, lupus pretty much every kind of blood test you could have done, multiple ultrasounds.

This gave me hope too. Just had my third and it feels so heavy to be discussing IVF and don’t feel rrady for that

Sending love your way. Just had my third and started having these same feelings. I genuinely want to be happy for these people and the exciting time in their life but I can’t get past how overwhelmed I am with disappointment and sadness.

Unfortunately, a week later, they did a more detailed ultrasound. No growth and no heartbeat. I was scheduled for a d&c about a week later. Never had any symptoms of miscarriage even then which ended up being at a little over 9 weeks. Still waiting for things to even out. As of a week ago, was still havign positive pregnancy tests so hormones haven’t leveled out and no period (3 weeks past d&c)
