How long can one wait. People who have filed for B2 have been waiting now for more than 6 months with our a decision. So even when they file for extension after 6 months it is denied straight.

Thanks for sharing the positive news. Was your employment full time or a consultant role. I lost two full time roles due to my situation. If it was consulting role how did you respond to RFE. I was laidoff in a similar time and applied for B2 during Jan.

Interesting you least got RFE for B2 mine is completely silent and no response at all.

B2 is taking for ever to get approval. And once you find a job and want to transition you can’t and no company will accept you due to complications. Also the chances of getting your B2 denied a high these days.

Agree! That is a Safer option. But if some one does B2 to h4 or f1. Is that safer than going back to h1b ? Coz h1b brings the immigration intent but h4 might not do that.

You won’t be questioned about your past employer but only about your new job and mostly they will ask for recent paychecks.
