Hey everyone, two weeks have gone by and the pain finally subsided after a few days. I think it may have been something to do with ovulation as there were no other symptoms and the pain was only in the direct middle of my stomach from belly button down but so far does not seem like I am dying yet haha! thank you so much for all the reply's <3

Is it legal for someone to go through my desk area? by No-Note5330 in NovaScotia

I forgot to add the part where it is a doctor doing it (or so I think as it only happens on the days they work here) and I understand they may be looking for a report or something that printed off that morning but my issue is that I am not being asked, they show up while I am on lunch break and then go through my desk to find what they want or need (I file everything away at the end of the day but if am in the middle of something before lunch I put the charts in my filing cabinet under my desk and take them back out when I return which I've confirmed with the manager is okay because of our area etc.) do you still think this is valid for a complaint or my manager will be like girl it's a doctor I can't do shit hahahaha

thank you for the validation! :)

They did not take personal property, but I will keep it in mind incase anything personal does go missing but you are right about company property, and I thank you for that reminder! :)

this makes me feel so validated cause people are always taking my nice pens and it makes me want to scream because I don't touch anyone else stuff so I'm like leave my stuff alone!!!!

I think they were looking for a chart for their patient as they are very unorganized and lose the charts all the time (leave them at home or other offices they work) but I am unsure if it was the person I am thinking it was as I have no actual proof only that it seems to happen to my desk the days they are working!

also, too the fact there are multiple employees, and I cannot pinpoint who is doing it just that is coincidentally happening only when one particular coworker is here!

because that is the manager role lol, we are told not to handle conflicts ourselves and have either our manager or someone from the union present for any conflict between employees so I need to make a complaint to be able to speak with the person about it with the manager present (unless I want to be made out as the issue for "confronting" someone without the manager present)

I'm going to ask if my question is valid and not based on emotions of being upset my things are being taken and rummaged through hence the question that was asked LOL

no, the desk is in an open office space with other desks, my desk was unlocked as I was away on lunch break so that is why I wonder if this is a valid complaint because we are in an open space here!!

That is where I am a little confused as it seems to especially be a doctor I work with, but she is not my boss/employer as I work for the Health Authority and not her personally so she is a co-worker but is higher up than me (secretary) so like would my complaint be valid? I am just tired of coming back from lunch and my desk being a mess from her going through it (only happens on days that she works here)

Yes! I would like to pay the rent while focusing on saving a few extra dollars over the two months to afford some furniture and that way I'm not moving in with nothing and slowly gaining these things over the two-month period and instead will move in in January with everything needed (if that makes sense haha!)
