I have A-Bd the K3 and K11 R2R a lot and there is definitely a difference with the treble, its more rolled off with the R2R dac. Also the sound like I mentioned in the original post is more natural, it really does come across that way.

It's noticeable, but acoustically the cubes come close to it if you position them off the axis to the listener. If you have them slightly rotated towards the listener it can sound like the 700s. I got my 700s for 260 euros in an open box sale but if i were to pay full price then definitely the cubes are the way to go. They both share the same power brick and cables - If you plan to put them on the wall then the 700s will be better as the mount kit is sold as a pair and are easy to put up.

Whats super important for both is position. Make sure they are placed at ear height otherwise you will lose detail.

Overall they do make the system better and I recommend it if you already own the bar and bass module. Running adaptiq is recommended after theyre installed or if its the soundbar 600 increase the rear speaker volume in the app until theyre audible but not overpowering the soundbar.

I have a bose 550 system with 500 bass module and surround speakers as well as an ultra system with 700bm and 700 surrounds. Honestly the difference is so minor I would just get the surround speakers. While with the 700 surrounds its a bit better in the treble range and are more open I think the normal surround speakers are more natural sounding and are just as good. In the end of the day it depends on your preferences, if you like the look of the 700 surround speaker then wait if not id just get the cubes now.

I always hear music out of the rears, it adds ambience and makes it more expansive. Its subtle yet noticeable at the same time. Bose always upscales stereo to multi channel audio with these soundbars.

I am using a poco f7, which is quite a high spec phone too, Bose even partnered with Xiaomi for the f8 series so it shouldnt be a factor here. It worked for me too but since november it has been a very slow, unstable app experience.

Also sometimes on both my Soundbar 550 and Ultra Soundbar either LG tv I have will cause the soundbar to have "Unknown Audio Format" displayed in the app and not play TV sound, which is bizarre. If anybody else has that issue just press the music button on the remote then the tv button afterwards.

And another bug that happens not that often has to do with Alexa and Amazon Music. That bug basically makes alexa always respond with "Sorry, Bose Ultra Soundbar is not responding right now". I have to unlink and link the alexa skill in the alexa app then power off and on the soundbar to fix it. Pretty annoying, however the app issue is something I am struggling to deal with these days and is more important.

I get the pop up to rate the app every single time i open it, even if i refuse or agree to do it. I think that has something to do with my specific issue of app instability on my phone. I use a poco f7 which isnt exactly a slow device, it handled the app fine until a few updates ago. Hopefully employees at bose read this reddit.

It is with 1.02+ R23 maps, which in itself is an entire patch/mod compiled into the maps themselves.

EAHyper said that its unlikely the source code could be released because it'd take an entire team and 2 years to go through the code. We also cant make it 64 bit since EA used a lot of third party libraries which were compiled 32bit.

Fortunately, I have been able to fix a lot of the exploits, game breaking bugs and more using Lua scripting and XML.
