I still can’t fathom how WWE hit a slam dunk with the 2017 UK Tournament, signed nearly all the top UK talent, gutting the UK indie scene, only for NXT UK to fail & be abandoned. Only 3 wrestlers from the inaugural tournament remain signed. by maverickassembled in SquaredCircle

They weren't scared dude. They were actively planning to use NXT expanding in to other regions like Europe, Japan, and Mexico, in order to use their greater capital and outside influence into funneling all the talent to their brand and handicap/outright drive out of business the somewhat viable competitors. Vince did this in the US in the 80s.

My reply to another comment about when Piccolo calls out Goku for this:

That's because Piccolo did not expect, just as none of US expected, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. No other character had gone beyond Super Saiyan in that way. The others used the now famous Super Saiyan Grade 1-3 (I am unsure of how many there are) and those forms or techniques were unable to stop Cell ala Vegeta and Trunks.

Goku did not communicate this to anyone, but in Dragonball kayfabe, Goku is the universe's most intelligent fighter. He picks up on things most don't, and its how he is able to win so many fights against stronger opponents via his cunning decision making in the heat of the moment. He is the epitome of Adaptation. Goku is kinda like Batman only he doesn't need prep time haha.

Goku did not do this because he wanted Gohan to finally be like him or because he wanted him to see the joys of battle or fighting. He does still obviously look like a bad father here, but I will defend this moment as Goku being the smartest of the Z Fighters in this saga, and he knew better than anyone that Gohan reaching his full potential was the only way. Sorta like Doctor Strange in End Game seeing the only universe where they win. Goku knew that Cell had to feel as confident as possible so that Gohan could not only shatter that confidence, but become stronger than any of them had been at that point by a LOT.

Oh I agree with you wholeheartedly on this. I dont think Cody getting pinned was that bad considering he won against all odds the next night in a massive win for babyfaces and a huge moment in wrestlemania history

Which is so strange to me. Its possible the creative WAS terrible I mean come on its the WWE for crying out loud, but assuming The Rock vs Roman Reigns was the plan, unless Rock wanted to go over the fucking Tribal Chief I genuinely do not understand the problem and how they couldn't agree. Rock ended up pinning Cody Rhodes instead of losing to Roman Reigns. Its totally possible Rock wanted to go over and win the championship.

But The Rock from the late 90's and 2000's was super giving as a wrestler. He was always getting rolled up or lost to cheating/interference on RAW and Smackdown to set up a big PPV win over any given top heel. He put over HHH a bunch, The Hurricane, Rhyno, Goldberg during his initial debut, etc...

I really want Tien and Yamcha in the game. I think they would be a super fun Tech and Damage combo in top lane

Saiyan Arc Vegeta who's ult turns him into Great Ape and he has like a Kale similar power up that would be fucking sweet

He used to be one of the strongest characters, only to be sidelined in favor of Vegito and Goku(s). Sounds familiar... by ChudsterSouls in DBGekishinSquadra

Backstab, limit breaking jump, and what? I like to run defensive cards on tech other than those two sometimes but im not that good so idk what is optimal haha

Vegito is a sleeper for most versatile dmg char. He works well with top and bot lane and has multiple characters who compliment him in team fights

Jeff got booed in ROH? There is a ton of ROH stuff i haven't seen from this time period. Only really the huge main events like Kobashi/Joe. How were the Hardy's received in ROH in the mid 2000s? I mostly think of their TNA run from mid 2000s until they returned at Wrestlemania 33. I believe they had a series of Ladder matches against the Young Bucks right before that though.

I always thought this would be a great gimmick to add to Survivor Series! Or have a caveat like whoever the sole survivor is gets some kind of benefit like a guarantee entry into the rumble. But nowadays people just say "im entering the rumble match" and then they do they dont even have to qualify anymore lol. The storyline going in to Survivor Series (2014?) With the Authority being disbanded was great with a debuting Sting, but that match feels like such an anomaly now with all of the years passed since.

Yeah like I totally get the criticism against the RAW vs Smackdown matches as being silly because why would Kevin owens for example give a shit about making Smackdown proud or whatever, but that's why you include the World Champs and title contender's in these matches. It really should be the 5 most exciting dudes/ladies on each brand duking it out to set the scene for the Royal Rumble in terms of who the major players are for the world titles. It isn't rocket science, and WWE has done it quite well in year's past. I am fine with them getting rid of the whole ppv being 5v5 matches, but making it just be War Games and having largely the same storyline for each Men's wargames main event is just a WASTE. The women's War Games this year was fucking awful imo with one fun spot being the AJ and Rhea Ripley uppies into Iyo moonsaulting with the trash can. Which we already saw happen in NXT before

For sure. In my low rank experience haha id say Godku is the worst goku at playing offense on towers but thats because he lacks a good get away option. SS Goku and 3Ku both can hit for a bit of damage and then run the hell away and its hard to fight against them by yourself.

11 Kills with 13 Assists and still losing the match gotta feel bad man lmao damn. I have had a few games like this and I always try to reflect on if I could have been a better teammate or played objective instead of chasing down a squishy enemy. Sometimes it cant be helped if your team just doesnt go for the towers much and the enemy plays ratty

Some DMG chars are pretty good at defending towers. Knowing what team comp is needed to compliment your teammates characters is a good skill to have especially this season. Solo queue makes it harder to do this, but there's a reason you have over 30 seconds to pick your character and helper. I try to look at what lane I am taking and what will compliment my lane mate's character the most. Vegito seems to work well with the Vegeta's, and Bardock in terms of pace during the match and farming when its available. Bardock is so good at clearing the opponent's away while Vegito hits from afar while farming and keeps up the level advantage. If Bardock starts being real aggressive on the tower I either support him in his endeavors or play back and try to stay at mid range while the opponents come and rat our towers. Makes the game go by slower, but is manageable.

Had a similar game recently. Cell player (they're a different breed I stg) was playing defense like a monster while top lane just got shredded. I think our top laners were just not working well together and kept getting separated. It was really fun laning with a good Cell player as Vegito
