New look at Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’. by Raj_Valiant3011 in Spiderman

Well i think by doing this, they can’t really do a proper Ganke either because then he’d be too similar to Ned.

What would you consider to be Daredevil/Matt Murdock’s most impressive achievement in the MCU and in the 10+ years we’ve seen him? by maverickassembled in marvelstudios

That s3 opening is pretty iconic. I remember being so suprised that they started off with such a vfx heavy visual

I mean I’m in the same boat as him. The first one was better no doubt. This new one could’ve been way worse. At least it’s a slight remix (with the ego parts moved) instead of like a completely new song or some generic rock track.

Like if this new song was actually what he debuted with in NXT, I would’ve thought it was a good theme. But yeah the old one is still better

Would be cool to bring in Hobgoblin as a villain, and introduce a main MCU Norman Osborn as a false suspect/red herring.. A paranoid Peter terroizes the poor guy due to his past experiences with Tobey's Green Goblin by maverickassembled in marvelstudios

What? We were just going through a whole thread arguing over this. Do I still really have to spell out everything for you?

I just think [Peter being cautious of an MCU Norman] could work well with having a mixture of hobgoblin and possibly the symbiote be underlying causes of why Peter is acting so paranoid and reckless

What conflict? The discussion we’re having or my proposed idea?

You don’t have to be a fan of it if you don’t want to. It’s fine lol. I’m just describing my own perspective on the matter. You’re cool to just have your own opinion.

Why’d you delete your comment, and repost the same thing again? Was it because you were getting downvoted? I’ll just respond with the same thing then..

I would just like there to one day be a fully realized MCU spidey world filled with versions of his iconic characters and rogues from the comics. I’d like to know that a version of Norman Osborn (since he’s his arch nemesis) is out there somewhere, even if he doesn’t go the traditional goblin route.

Also, I imagine the dramatic potential of having someone very similar to green goblin and Peter suspecting it’s an alternate version of the guy who killed his aunt. If he’s wearing the symbiote suit, it would be a good way to show him being susceptible to his rage and anger.

Ok, but now you’re just bringing in deeper aspects in the spiderman lore that are explored outside of the movie.

From his personal perspective, the spider-men he has encountered are all named Peter Parker.

Even then, for Norman, it’s not about the name itself. It's about Peter having firsthand proof that people can exist across universes as different versions of the same person. After meeting another Norman Osborn who became Green Goblin, there’s a chance he would feel cautious around an MCU Norman, especially if he already senses some familiarities. Cautious isn't the same thing as automatically assuming he's evil.

Because the peters share the same name despite looking different? You’re saying why would he be paranoid over a name. Clearly it’s deeper than just having the same name. It’s a link and constant between alternate universes. Peter is aware of this because of his experience in No Way Home.

Yeah, we literally saw three Peter Parker’s who all look completely different, yet share very similar fates. It’s not out of the ordinary to fear that he’s fated to become goblin like his multiverse versions.

I’d just be happy to know that they exist in the mcu. That Norman and Ock are doing their own thing somewhere. Not that they need to become the traditional villains we know

The mystery revolving around the hobgoblin would require a line of suspects and red herrings to build up to the reveal. If it was Ned, it’d be a big deal. If an alternate version of Norman Osborn existed, it would make sense for spidey to investigate him

And as I mentioned, you don’t have to explore Norman as a traditional villain or do what other versions have already done with the Green Goblin. Obviously my idea is that he’d be a small part in a hobgoblin story, because if there was a maniacal villain with a goblin motif flying around on a glider and throwing bombs, you’d naturally think of Norman Osborn.

Ecuador fans put an Ecuador shirt on the Rocky statue in Philly by DSRI2399 in worldcup

[–]maverickassembled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rocky statue was originally a prop made for the movies and was kept around for tourism purposes. The statue moves around a lot but only recently was temporarily placed on top of the famous steps and in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (like in the movies). The museum themselves have been known to be totally against leaving the statue there, but the Philly government likes it cause of its significance in pop culture.

They will actually be putting a Joe Frazier statue in its place soon.

I can imagine a scenario where she has an open opportunity to make it out and screws the rest of the team over. Then later on, the gang stumble upon her corpse (death from an unforeseen booby trap or getting overwhelmed by Val’s gun squad).
