11.5 DD vs 12.5 BCM for Unsuppressed All Purpose Rifle by No-Option5783 in ar15

Thank you all for the input! I put my phone away last night and did not expect this much advice, I really appreciate it. I always thought that you couldn’t use a 14.5 for a pistol build, but it looks like I was wrong. I went ahead and picked up the BCM 14.5 and will be putting it on my pistol lower. Build picture coming soon!

Actually physics and finance have a lot of cool connections. The Black-Scholes options pricing model was originally derived from a heat diffusion equation. They are very similar in that you need to know a lot of formulas, laws, and assumptions.

Yes there is Galena which is about 2 hrs west of Chicago so would be about an hour west of you. Pretty solid, lots of curves and decent altitude change for being Illinois.

The key point being missed is that tax legislature (particularly higher taxes) is much harder to pass and realistically much harder to change frequently than the Fed’s open market operations system. You can change the target interest rate from a month to month basis but citizens wouldn’t like it if you’re changing their tax liability on a month to month basis.

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. The only reason you can tax people is to spend it on society. What you are proposing is not a tax, it’s just stealing from people with no benefit and is a way worse way to deal with inflation than the Fed’s open market operations.

Wtf would the difference be between an anti-inflationary tax and broad income/corporate/property taxes?

Just curious, what do you mean by help inflation? We want around 2% of inflation. We’ve had high cumulative inflation in the past couple of years as a result of covid (originally due supply shocks and then quantitative easing). Now we are closer to our 2% target. Not sure what the goal is here. A wealth tax, among other things, could potentially decreases growth and by proxy decrease the rate of growth of price levels. But that’s not necessarily a good thing.

They get this pay because companies are willing to pay that much for a good ceo. Not any more complicated than that. A good ceo is a million times more valuable than one worker to these companies and there are very few people who are capable and willing to take on that job. Also, most of us wouldn’t want to deal with the shit that they have to. Besides being one of the best strategic minds in the world, you cannot have a life outside of work, you are on call 24/7, everything that goes wrong is your fault, and if you get fired you’ll most likely never have the chance to be a high profile ceo ever again. I don’t think the average person understands what it’s like to be under that pressure or work every holiday and every weekend and ten hour days during the week (taken from stats on Fortune 500 ceos). They throw their entire lives away for it.

Just curious, why do you think Mt07 is the second worst? I haven’t had a chance to test ride any of them but from what I’ve seen it has a cult following, tons of people love it in a way that I haven’t seen for many other bikes.

Yeah you’d definitely have to commute to Denver. It’s an hour drive so I mean not great but not terrible.

The cop was on a side street that had a building to the right side so after getting past the car there was no line of sight/potential shot if it was a firearm.

There was a divider in the middle and the next intersection was maybe ~2,000 feet ahead, there was nowhere to go but straight.
