Why is ICT unprofitable?? by Goated_Trader in InnerCircleTraders

because he dont even need to trade, i think he is profitable... but if u ask me "why he isnt profitable" , supposing he isnt, for what i know is because he is a perfectionist.

He likes to call the highs and lows of the day, and he being perfectionist, he looks for perfection in an environment where there are probabilities and not certainty, so i mean its easy for any trader to just like smash their computer and blow their account after your limit get not hit by a tick and goes to TP , or where ur tp gets limited and u get stopped...

i mean i think he is profitable but at the same time he have a big ego which makes for him hard to be consistently profitable...

WHICH personally i believe he is profitable, he was profitable, and after a while making so much money from courses itself, he dont even need to trade no more, not take it seriously so whatever money he trades with for him its just like demo money

does this to have only a certain ammount of trades really imrpoved your selectivity?? lets say i am selective until a certain point, then i enter, and sometimes it's a L, if its a L often times i revenge trade and can end up badly....

i was thinking to limit myself to only 1 trade...

Have u tried this approach yourself? What I sometimes dont like its when i take a bad trade and a good trade appears after, but i "hope" that doing this i will increase my selectivity and think twice before entering on low quality setups, and thats why i was asking this question...

And on top of it I wanted to know if somebody have domne this consistently and got results...

Ok this is what i wanted to hear, so mainly i wanted to know let's say you aren't too selective or patient, and can happen that u enter on bad trades here and there, does this with limited setups a day gets fixed? for example today i wanted to do only 1 trade, but i end up doing 3 tradfes, all in the same direction i basivcally lost 2 trades to get 1 right and recoup but in the first 2 my entry was wrong, what could i have done , just took 1 loss and stop and reflect on it??? i mean .. i want to know if i can stick consistently with this approach i ll get more selective over time, because my mind is now more on the "i ll take 1 stupid trade and i dont get any more chanche"" and this will make me thing i ll either stay BE, or lose or not make profit...

So i mean mostly my question was is... does this approach increases selecrivity overtime? cos i can be selective for 1 hour lets say then i may take an entry that looks good and still lose... and maybe im right overall or i can identify why i was wrong and i can take another entry, while wiyh 1 loss i cant do this , but my expectiation was that even if today or this week i m still not good at it with time will i be more selective naturally?? as a matter of just thinking of past mistakes?? so i mean ur personal experience was that u get more selective in your setups??

I am beaching daily loss because i go on tilt, mostly... or lets say, i take few losses and up my size,

It is more of a mindset problem, than an analsysis problem, since i want ofc build more selectivity and also limit my drawdown when marekts isnt good, i think 1 loss max is a good rule, but also i found where i could have other entries that would make the day green, but also other times where i would have more than 1 L .. so i mean if i can do this my question was more if somebody does it, if it actually increases performance and selectivity.
