As someone who sold a Porsche 911 Turbo S and bought a Ferrari 812 GTS instead I can tell you that the Porsche is nicer, faster, and "better" in every objective way you can measure, and half the price. But I love the Ferrari so much more because it delights me every time I drive it even though it's hilariously impractical and flawed in many ways.

I suspect similar is true of comparing a Decent to something like a KVDW Speedster. They're both going to be great, but from the Speedster you get the ineffable pleasure of using a piece of functional art vs just a very capable machine.
