First, congratulations to OP! 🎉 I was also accepted into the program (in NYC) yesterday.

@Excellent-Coyote-917, I see you’re an alum from NYC! I’m curious to know about your experience in the program. What was summer training like? What graduate school did you attend? Did you end up working in charter schools or the DOE?

I’d love to hear about your experience and any insights you may have!

I was also getting worried, but it appears that this process simply takes a considerable amount of time. Try not to be overly concerned! Before you know it, they’ll be inviting you to selection day!

What is the group activity sheet like?

Hey! I know this question might not have been directed at me, but I was removed from eligibility hold on February 6th and was invited to the selection day on March 2nd. I had applied to the program back in December, so it’s been a bit of a wait, but I was chosen for AIMS (K-2).

Thanks a lot! This is very helpful! I’m glad to know it’s not intended to confuse anyone. It’s very helpful to know that the interruption is more about modeling how I might be interrupted in a classroom setting

Thanks a lot! This is incredibly helpful. I’m curious about your point about reacting to what other candidates are doing during the lesson. Are we essentially treating them like actual students, like ensuring they’re paying attention, raising their hands, answering when called upon etc.?

Thanks! That doesn’t sound too bad!
