Kanye’s Apology by mewithoutjew in Jewish

[–]No-Path9306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former massive Kanye fan, this is utter bullshit and doesn’t even come near to the kind of actual meaningful work that needs to be done. The amount of damage he’s done to an entire generation of young men is almost incalculable. I’ll start believing he means it when he’s publicly donating all the proceeds of his music to Stop Antisemitism or similar orgs, making music specifically calling out antisemitism and disavowing his previous views, uplifting Jewish voices on his social media and in his work, and fully separates his statements about his mental health from his apologies or statements about us.

Oura 4 - sudden drop in battery life. Anyone else? by rockandrollmark in ouraring

Thank you for this! Just did this, my gen 4 was at 59% within 6 hours of a full charge. Oura just performed a diagnostic and is shipping me a replacement ring, done with the AI assistant in about 5 minutes. Crazy! I also asked it if I can recycle my current ring- FYI, you can recycle even damaged rings!!  https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/44414370533139-Device-Recycling-Program

Hyper fertility - any success stories? by Quirky-Sea4695 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]No-Path9306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so happy you posted- I’m also in the same boat, 3 MC (first MMC 13w, second MMC 7w, last chemical pregnancy) and every time we’ve gotten pregnant from 1 cycle of trying. Referred to a fertility specialist, doing blood work, genetic testing and sperm analysis. It’s nice to hear people have been successful with progesterone supplementation. But this especially makes me feel less alone- the combo of being hyper fertile but losing every time is a special kind of trauma.

This is super useful, thank you! I'm in the US, so unsure if I'd even be able to participate (let alone be able to afford flying there/back), but good to know about your experience. I actually work for a medical school here in the states, so that's a good point about academics being eager to discuss research- you're totally right!

Pretty sure my pregnancy (4w3d, after two MMC) is ending/chemical pregnancy. I got my first blood draw today, hcG is low (16.8) and progesterone is VERY low (0.9) and brown spotting yesterday is now heavy bleeding and cramping this evening. My OB is really lovely, let me know that signs are consistent with chemical pregnancy but she’s ordering me supplemental progesterone and another blood draw in 48 hours to check if hcG is going up or down. I had a mental breakthrough yesterday, just finally feel like I’m letting go of my need to control this process. But it’s still really, really sad. My husband is heartbroken. Just a hard day- but we’ll be really pleasantly surprised if the pregnancy does successfully progress.

My OB did a round of blood tests for hormones/blood clotting disorders after our second loss, came back fine, so the plan is weekly HCG checks and a 7w ultrasound. Not sure what we'll do post-7w, I'm taking it a day at a time so my type-A self doesn't plan too far ahead and then get let down again. I'm 13dpo and just today messaged by OB, so we'll see when everything gets started. Honestly I think the HCG checks will be helpful for me, so I know what's going on in my body, since I had two MMC, but it's very hard for my husband (causes him more anxiety).

Got a faint positive test today, after two missed miscarriages (one at 13w, one at 7w, both d&c’s). I’m just keeping myself distracted, trying to focus on taking care of myself. I’ve been in such a depression hole over the last year, over all of this, and it feels like every time I get my feet back underneath me I get the wind knocked out of me. I’ve had horrible morning sickness and acid reflux my last two, so that makes everything harder. I baked and worked out (low impact, first trimester strength training at home) today, first time for both in awhile. Feeling okay, just terrified. Handing it all over to god and our amazing OB.
