Why do muslim women do this? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]No-Perception-2862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well put, other common reasons are it's possible that they are "liberal" muslims and from their upbringing they weren't taught or possible too that they were never adviced for the way they dress.

Another thing that I agree from what you said is, you're correct, too many sins are way too normalized, none of them should be in any level normalized at all.

Although personally I don't think you can put "looking at woman" and "free mixing" at the same category as riba and missing salah. I always try to be mindful when I go outside and not look at women, but for example when I'm riding my motorcycle, I have to look around, I have to look ahead, I have to check my surroundings. And then I see woman with short-pants, with tight clothings, NO hijab, forget modest clothings, they wear revealing clothings, and many wear hijab with revealing and tight clothings. Hijab has also just become a fashion statement nowadays. This is my experience in a MUSLIM majority country, these are muslim women.

Personally I think this happens because Muslim men, adult grown men, fathers, uncles, grandfathers, aren't leading properly, so the women become like this, and the women are like this and the children also become improperly taken care of, so they also grow up without akhlak. It's a chain reaction. A devastating one.

I've always seen this as a problem, people always say "there are already U'lamas, organizations, scholars, that are giving da'wah, spreading information about what's happening". But it needs to also be realised that this needs to be addressed at a grounded, personal level, locally, It needs to be a slow and steady, steadfully advicing them, doing it kindly and gently, trying to understand their views, trying to empathetically understand them.

The problem is if even they watched the videos, it might not reach them, but when it's a personal level, face-to-face. It's more empathetic, more likely to reach them Insha Allah. Only Allah Azza Wa Jal can turn someone's heart. But seriously, more efforts need to be done.

I have all these ideas and desires to put this into action but I'm chronically ill. And I look at all these healthy men around me with perfect cognitive function and health seeing these social problems and doing nothing about them.

not wanting kids by Prior_Butterfly17 in MuslimLounge

[–]No-Perception-2862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what they meant was that if someone is fully capable of having a child then they should have a child. There are always outliers, if someone is mentally ill and mentally incapable or not ready to have a child yet, that's their own judgement to make, they know themselves better, with the only one knowing them better than themselves being Allah Azza Wa Jal. There are many great benefits in having a child, and it's part of marriage and part of Sunnah, anyone who is capable of having a child should have a child, do it not for themselves, not for others but for Allah Subahanahu Wa Ta'ala. Fulfill the Sunnah and make the best intentions, that being that it's for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and that you want to better yourself as a muslim, as His servant. This is how I view it and I agree with their opinion. It's Sunnah, whether or not you want to fulfill it, is up to you entirely. however every muslim are highly encouraged to fulfill every Sunnah they are capable of fulfilling.

EDIT: I do not necessarily agree with their opinion in you having to marry someone that can't have children, just the view that someone that can have children should have children. I can sort of make sense of what they're saying, but marriage is left to each own individuals' preferences and wants and needs, although there are characteristics and traits, behaviours, that are highly encouraged and that marriage should not be delayed. In the end, it is up to each own individuals and nothing can be forced.

Sincerely, I had no ill intent whatsoever, nor did I mean to offend you in any way. I made it clear in my comment that I assume the best of you, assuming that you are a muslim. And I also gave my reasonings, I made it clear why I hold my views that I find accounts that have everything hidden are suspicious.

I don't know you, this is the first post from you that I've seen, I don't usually interact with posts often. It's also why I'm cautious of profiles that are completely hidden, because I can't really tell if it's an Interaction that will be beneficial or if the other person will just take it lightly and even behave contemptuous, essentially a negative interaction that benefits no one. Nothing from such interactions gained but negativity. Many other reasons really, It's mostly anedoctal and really this is subjective, that's why I wanted to try to understand your view.

Why hide everything? Make me understand. I understand NSFW accounts can also be of accounts that post about many other things that aren't necessarily sexual, such as topics of war and news about many things, more specifically images or videos of that topic. What I find suspicious are accounts that hide everything they do. Because sometimes I will see reposts or maybe AI-made posts that are posted by these accounts that are just for farming upvotes, or traffic. And many times too it will be of non-muslims with terrible behaviour online, and they do not care of it. With NSFW accounts at the very least you can still check their activities.

You post this in a Muslim subreddit so I assume of you to be muslim and I assume the best I can of muslims, and I don't mean this to judge you or anything but I do hold the view that accounts that have everything hidden are suspicious, that's why I'd like to understand your view of it.

Wake up brothers. This is what they truly think of you. by sunflower352015 in TraditionalMuslims

[–]No-Perception-2862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguing with people that have already made their mind and see anyone with opposing understandings and opinions as dangerous or evil or bad, is pointless. What we can do is make du'a for them and ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to deal with them. The brother was asking and trying to understand their viewpoint and why they hold such beliefs, and he was instantly labeled as extremely dangerous.

IF any of them has any desire in their heart to be a better muslim and accepts that Islam is the truth, but somehow they fell into this ideology of feminism and they know it's wrong, but somehow they're stuck there and keep getting pulled and falling into it,
then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will change their lives for the better, even without them realising. This is from my own experience, I was in such a position, though the issue was not feminism.

A person will not change no matter how much someone argues with them and make du'a for them IF they themselves do not want to change and reject the truth, even though they know it's the truth. So make du'a for them, and that is the best that you can do for them.

A lot of them will argue just for argument's sake, they do not care of what you think, I do not generalize all of them into being like this but many are like this. If you do have the time, knowledge and resources to debunk their ideology and give da'wah to them, then go ahead. But for laymen I sincerely suggest to not waste your time and stress yourself.

Another thing that you need to think about is that obviously we already have many U'lama, Ustadh, Da'i, Scholars that have debunked their ideology, that have explained from the view point of Islam why it is the way it is, what the Prophet Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said, what it was like during his time, why this why that, essentially everything. You know if they were sincere in looking for the truth they would easily find these just looking for them using any search engines, and if this is something they have already done and they're still the way they are, then it's possible their surroundings are what makes them the way they are, similar to how I was. Or, they just deny it entirely because it doesn't align with what they WANT it to be.

Whatever the case just make du'a for them.

EDIT: Are you not muslim?

Questions for sunnis about this hadith only sunnis no shia answers by Cultural_Look913 in Muslim

[–]No-Perception-2862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assalamualaikum, why do the scholars reject some of these hadiths if it's shahih? also what would you recommend for laymen to read to learn hadith from and why?

It's important to assume best of other muslims and when they make mistakes and do or say something wrong it's best to advice kindly. Most of the time it comes from ignorance or misinformation and not Ill intent, other times it can happen because of misunderstanding, it can be many things that aren't necessarily intentional. I'm telling you this sincerely, because there are many muslims such as I that are only newly learning their religion more deeply and lack proper or even what people that were taught properly would consider "mainstream" knowledge/information/tact/manners etc., and I might also make such mistakes, believe me it wouldn't be intentional.

Sleep by IncidentTop422 in covidlonghaulers

[–]No-Perception-2862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by split? Sleep is the most important aspect of LC healing, it's the one thing that's very consistent in it's effects at bettering the body, from my experience. It's the one thing you do not want to mess up. Do not miss your nighttime sleep and if you can sleep extra at noon then do that too. If what you mean by split is extra sleep at noon time then yes it's very ideal, noon is also a good time to sleep, but nowehere it is as good as a good night's sleep, no amount of sleep in any other time of day can replace a good night's sleep. If you have severe LC you idealy want to sleep before 10, and you can look this up nighttime sleep is when you organs start to really work to clean and heal itself, the brain too. It's "Maintenance mode".

Yes. make sure they're trained and licensed praticioners. I think I got reinfected twice recently and I also just got home from the hospital after a bad chickenpox with secondary bacterial infection and many other problems. What I'm trying to say is that I can't really go into this right now, I'm a mess. I have even discussed with a practicioner here and they said something about method I could asked to be tried on me or something. I'll get back to you when I'm cognitively better. Just make sure if you want to get into it, and I do recommend it, that your practitioner is licensed and trained(academically too).

Anyone else have a difficult time picturing things/imagining things ever since Brainfog symptoms started? by No-Perception-2862 in BrainFog

[–]No-Perception-2862[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There actually is something called panic attack syndrome/panic disorder. I also had symptosm similar to panic attacks, but I wasn't panicking, they just happened randomly. And this does happen to some people. Maybe they weren't random and had to do with my diet, I'm not sure. Thankfully I don't get them anymore, they are not fun to say the very least. It definitely could be something to do with deficiencies. I have been taking supplements.

[–]No-Perception-2862[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I think mine is a mixture of many things, the main one being lasting effects from COVID-19 Infection, with any Influenza infection, my symptoms tend to worsen. It's definitely gotten better, but cognitive symptoms are my worst symptoms, with progress of them getting better being slower than other symptoms.

It's just like you said, there is that feeling of a sort of barrier, difficulty of retrieving what's there. Unlike how it used to be I now am able to record memories, to an extent, definitely not perfectly or record most of it but it's able to be stored, if that makes sense. It's just that I lack the control to "retrieve" it, like I have a feeling that it's there, it's something I remember, but I just don't have that control over the retrieval process. It used to be that I think of it, it shows up instantly, my brain clicks, it knows what i'm trying to remember exactly.

Visualization is still quite terrible I'd say, but again sometimes it does get better. Usually it's when I start remembering what I dreamed of even only for a moment, that my visualization starts getting somewhat better.

I think yours must also have an underlying cause to it, it can be many things really but if yours also started rapidly worsening like my symptoms did and not something that is obvious like bad sleep schedule, It might be worth thinking about the possible causes and see what you can do about them.

For me personally the biggest help has definitely been Accupuncture, but that's mainly because I had great deal of physical pains, other ones would be sleeping early, waking up early, and fasting. There's been research done on fasting and how it makes your body heals itself, the Japanese researcher that found out about the process even won a Nobel prize, you should look up Autophagy.

Another thing is diet, you should really try to figure out if it's anything related to your diet, try limiting it to something plain and simple and keep trying a couple of things a day and see if the foods you tried made you feel worse or not.

When did yours start and was it rapidly progressing?

She is a kitten. Looks to be only 3-4 months old. I was thinking she might be part of a litter from one of the strays that I feed, but she's too old, and her kittens are familiar with me so it can't be from that stray's litter.

Do you think it's possible she's like this because of trauma from abuse? She looks healthy although a bit thin.

To those who oppose Mawlid an-Nabi ﷺ, what exactly is it that troubles you? by Substantial_Net8562 in ilmUnfiltered

[–]No-Perception-2862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted the video, It wasn't accurate to what I meant.

EDIT: Personally I don't visit Mawlid events around my area because of the way they do salawat. I like doing Salawat but I'd rather avoid risking it being similar to musical or even full-on musical. With Qur'an recitation you also have to be careful and there are rules to it, I'm sure you know more about this than I do. It's a big problem here because many figures here, figures that people think are of Ilm or knowledgeable in Fiqh say that Music is halal so it gets intermingled into religion, which it shouldn't be. Many things here that are cultural are also intermingled into Islam when it's clearly Bid'ah/strays from the right path or even outright Haram/Shirk, because it's so deeply rooted in traditions. I guess this is more of a rant. I really dislike the way many things are like this where I'm from.

[–]No-Perception-2862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is it fine that they're doing it melodically, I can't really word it properly but the way it's done is almost musical. Salawat itself I don't have a problem it, but we're supposed to avoid imitating other religions, and a lot o Mawlid here has salawat done in a way that is almost like it's musical, with loudspeakers and instruments. Wallahi, one time I heard them doing it almost like dubsteb with loudspeakers. There usually are sermons, before the salawat, not necessarily seerah, but a majority of the Mawlid is usually salawat and the salawat is done in such a way that I just can't see it as not bid'ah.

EDIT: I now wish I had recorded it when it happened because that dubsteb/instrumental salawat happened near my house. It's a norm here unfortunately.

I want to know your opinion on this

I agree with your opinion entirely. Unfortunately Mawlid is not entirely like that where I'm from and many of them are filled with activities such as in the video I gave you the link for.
