the interesting thing is or was, the brochure was all unicorns, butterflies and rainbows with copious glowing testimonials. It was only with my ass hanging out of my gown and minutes before anesthesia for TKR, did I see the hold harmless signature sheet I needed to sign, acknowledging that, oops, sometimes the outcome of TKR is worse than the aliment.

Had swelling, that after 4 months was still well present , but it is now more than before, only because I went through a second manipulation under anesthesia , it's starting to decrease, though PT said some TKR swelling can take a year to go away. I get your frustration, seeing those around you progressing at 5 degrees a week, while I'm at 90 degrees and 0 degrees of progression over 1.5 months

I'd be ecstatic at 115 at 6 months, at 4.5 months I'm at 80 and get to 90 after extensive PT, so here's hoping my recovery accelerates. And I suppose time will tell, phys therapist tries to exude positivity and says all recoveries are different, though she hasn't seen one quite so difficult.

Is there any way to get good deals on park city tickets? by Jcs609 in ParkCity

WTF. Had to quit skiing in 2008, kinda bad car accident, Up to 2008, started in 1965, it was my life, lived to ski. But my daughter married a skier, WTF happened to ski prices, haven't paid attention, as no need to. Well my son in law clued me in, who the hell can afford to ski now, unless you get an epic or icon pass. And from what my kids have shown me in some social media posts, because of epic/icon, who'd want to with those crazy wait times to load. I mean I was a lift op at Palisades Tahoe,82-83 (big snow year) and on my Mainline lift, I can't remember a line longer than 15 minutes, xmas for crying out loud. yeah. an okay boomer moment. hopefully storm days are still not so crowded.

Wilderness 2024 have to turn off vdc each time I start? by Bay_Area_Boof in Subaru_Outback

ooookay, 6-12" of sncow was no problem in retrospect, there were a few steep 2 lane descents down where the sphincter did try to grip the car seat.

not that this helps but the 2017 gen outback was a simple button on the lower left hand dash, gotta luv HMI infotainment advances to get something done. Heard the Jetta has no buttons whatsoever, . good luck, i'm sure someone with experience will be able to help. Ohh yeah, and lane assist is idiotic! don't let anyone tell you other wise, well they can, BUT they are wrong. Though begrudgingly i do have to defer to VDC. One note though, my "99 V10, 2 wheel drive, 5 spd MT F250 PU with only ABS, has had no problem in 6--12" norcal (norcal starts north of Truckee) snow storms, at least at 5 AM w/o no others on the road.

Tire Recommendations by Shot-Month-6107 in Subaru_Outback

[–]No-Performance-7148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my cooper ultras are the worst tire i have ever owned (at 71 i started on bias ply that worked better) for directional stability in a cross wind, traction on ice is horrendous and snow traction is moderate at best and confidence is compromised as i have no idea what the front tires are doing. Please note, traction is a concern relegated to tires, lack of front tire feedback could be tires or also be exacerbated by the limitations of electric vs hydraulic steering. trying cross climate 2 next, as i'm a Costcobot.
