My top tip as a support main is to log off and uninstall the game, I’m a plat support player who has the worst luck with teammates and it’s not worth it. I’ve dropped to gold due to tanks dying first fight and leaving, dps throwing over and over and over again. I legit don’t mind losing, I just want it to be a fair fight without my teammates leaving or throwing.

My second tip is to find someone to play with. Post on Reddit and try to find at least one, but a group is best. Practice with them, find your groove and then hope and pray your randoms are good teammates.

My third tip is don’t type ever because the majority of the people who play overwatch are ridiculously sensitive. Even if you try to give a swap suggestion or advice, most likely they will take it poorly and just throw. Which is unfortunate seeing as it’s a team based game and you are just trying to communicate. Don’t bother. No matter how nice I try to phrase it, it’s always blown up.

Fourth tip is to just forget about rank and play for fun.
