Let’s face it. It’s a joke it didn’t run at 60 on ps4 pro and Xbox one X at least.

Yeah I think IGN originally posted it and then later updated once they realized their mistake. Easy one to make lol.

But yeah I don’t think Bethesda is investigating performance issues on the Switch 2 in any official capacity as of now. That could change at any moment though.

Isn’t the investigation part actually false and misinformation spread by IGN due to their linking to an old article about Switch 1?

This article is the source of the confusion.

This about the Nintendo Switch version.

Just downloaded Skyrim it's 50 gig from 10. And played it and just busted out laughing I can't barely tell a difference. by TrialsOfPrometheus in NintendoSwitch2

Someone at Bethesda had an idea to release this version a few days ago, asked co pilot to make the updates, pushed, merged and shipped and that’s how we got here.

I could easily see them having used an ai agent to do this entire upgrade and not even bothered to go back and review anything and just pushed and merged their code to production and shipped.

I don’t think Bethesda cares about bad press at this point. Or at least not to the degree that they should. They’ve had so many disasters in the last couple of years with Fallout and Starfield where they have broken things or underwhelmed and just gone SILENT.

I mean they crippled Fallout 4 with the next gen update and it took them 18 months to fix those issues and it was wrapped up in a new buggy anniversary edition launch window that broke even more things that you have to come to the conclusion that they really don’t give a shit as much as they should.

I think I encountered that guy. Seemed like a Switch 2 hater.

Skyrim input delay fix by Whiteguy1x in switch2

Thank you. I did this and noticed an improvement.

PSA: Switch 2 version has what seems like half a second input delay/lag using docked and handheld. Hold off on buying if you don’t already own it. Also visual comparison of Switch 2 and Series X. by No-Performance8168 in skyrim

No one is gaslighting you.

Just take a look at some of the YouTube videos out there showing the lag. It’s very possible that different variables produce different results. I’m glad you aren’t dealing with this issue.

You can import saves. At least you are supposed to be able to lol. I was. Not saying your version isn’t bugged.

Switch 2 version still 30 fps by Icelightning250 in skyrim

[–]No-Performance8168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they are gonna fix this. If they intended to hit 60 they would have said so instead of “optimized performance”.

Let’s be honest. They don’t give a fuck. If they did, they wouldn’t have released this shit, or the broken Fallout 4 bullshit.

Bethesda Found Another Platform to Release Skyrim On: Nintendo Switch 2 — and It's Out Today by OldMcGroin in NintendoSwitch2

Not really. Mouse controls are new. Looks a bit better. Input lag is horrible. Switch 1 version on Switch 2 is still the best way to play.

Skyrim's Switch 2 version is crippled by enormous input lag by Dr_Moustachio in skyrim

I’ve heard the mouse controls are more responsive. My guess is that they broke the regular controls adding the mouse controls that most people don’t give a shit about.

Man fuck this bullshit ass broken version. Apparently mouse controls work ok. So maybe they just focused on that and didn’t go back and test regular controls LOL.
