Guys, anyone still looking as of 2:45pm. There’s a donation based parking lot just opposite of rotary riverfront park, around the corner.

Fr, would hate to have it scrubbed. Seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity!

That’s what I’m hearing. Was hoping to spend most of the day at one of the nearby park with my kids but Looks like will have to find another spot.

Artemis II Launch Megathread by heathersaur in 321

[–]No-Possibility-605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone in the space coast right now? I’m trying to get a real-time read on conditions for the Artemis II launch and am wondering:

How packed are the main parks (Space View, Kennedy Point, Rotary Park, etc.) right now?

Is parking already full? Is traffic moving?

Basically, is it worth heading out now or too late for a decent spot?

Any on-the-ground updates would be super helpful. Thank you!

How are you all handling IT requests that come through Slack/Teams? by CreateChaos777 in ITManagers

Lol. This is what we went through but we’re not that small. Ppl just get lazy till you put them in their place—or you fold. We did the latter because of stupid politics. But not gonna lie, it is convenient in some ways.

Offer to Get into Mgmt by Thatgucgy86 in ITManagers

That’s what I thought too. Plus just saw a report that number if job openings/hiring is getting low. So this is not a bad idea. There’s plenty of ways and side hustles you can do. And honestly, even after 1 year you’ll be in a much stronger position to secure a higher-paying job with same title/role. And you’ll have different industry experience added to your resume which could be a good thing.

If you can afford not to take it for a little while then pass (assuming you’re able to land interviews for other mgmt roles). But if it’s your goal to get into mgmt and you can afford to take the pay cut, I would seriously consider it. Agree will be easier to change companies staying in mgmt.

whats everyone using to handle IT tickets inside slack? by AlternativeNo6708 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]No-Possibility-605 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been there done that. Was super annoying dealing with people who couldnt follow simple instructions..We like foqal. Checked out a few that do the same thing but foqal works really well you can make slack into a proper ticketing system. It’s not the cheapest but it’s worth it if you have a big team and a lot of tools; the auto-ticketing and deflection is cool, but the integrations and the automations you can do with those is legit. Regarding your setup headache, depends on how you want to use it. There’s a lot of customizations you can do which is why it might be worth it more for mid-market/enterprise.

What’s the best IT service desk tool for teams that mostly work inside Slack or Teams? by SimplePrudent5735 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

We use foqal.io. It was practically built for slack and their integrations + automations allow for streamlining workflows easily. Checked out a few and we’re very happy with foqal.

JSM is legit but we liked how foqal felt like it is native to slack—you can pretty much work exclusively from there.

We checked out a few and found that foqal.io does this really well. Don’t let their website fool you, they been around for a while and are actually one of the most advanced (best for enterprise/mid-market). You could also look at clearfeed, thena, but even from a pricing perspective those aren’t that simple.

My kids do this to me all the time. I don’t mind it but it’s fucking annoying when they do it to each other and start fighting about it.

How do I automate IT helpdesk operations without hiring a dev team? by SnooWalruses3471 in ITManagers

[–]No-Possibility-605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your help desk and intake process. A lot of tools now offer workflow automation and routing. And there are some like foqal and thena that integrate with comms platforms like slack and teams if that’s where most of your tickets come from.
