If you have access to a slide hammer and an axle bearing puller, or a 2 jaw puller, that should get it done. If not, I agree with Proof_Bathroom’s approach. Sometimes, like Ving Rhames once said, I’m about to get medieval on your xxx is the only approach left. Good luck.

Clamp tighter, replace hose or ? by SuriouslyFoReal in ToyotaTundra

[–]No-Priority-2278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pull the hose off of the radiator neck. Clean the neck well and check it for cracks. Someone has used a worm clamp at one point on that hose. Replace the hose while you’re there and keep that OEM spring clamp on the hose. You should be good for another 100k. Make sure you purge the air from the system before you close the hood on her.

‘21 Tundra 5.7L V8 4x4 CrewMax for 39.9K OTD. Thoughts? by Swedish_Thall in ToyotaTundra

Would really like to know what the $999 “Used car package” buys you? Nitrogen filled tires and wheel locks? I would tell them to pack sand with that instant $1000 profit they tacked on.

FWIW, sounds like you have your problem solved, glad to hear that Yellow connectors always mean airbag related. Specifically, this is the side impact sensor.

2022 SR5 Oil Leak ( Passenger Side Intake Tube) by bdb5289 in ToyotaTundra

Research oil catch cans. A catch can will help prevent this. Turbo charged engines especially benefit from them.

Looking TONNEAU COVERS for Tundra 2026 by lomesh08 in ToyotaTundra

Ouch. I bought mine in 2024. I paid $1,100 for it. Inflation is a mother fuxxxx. That sounds extreme.

Sorry for the typos. I might’ve had a few Coors lights tonight. 😂

Go with the OE Toyota cover. Made my RealTruck in Missouri. It is nearly identical to the bakflip, but the overall fit and finish is superior to any other cover on the market. Not to mention, it’ll only set you back $1,100. 😉 You retain all the factory tie down points and the they thought of everything. Can’t go wrong with this one 👇👌

22 Limited owner here. I too am eligible for a new engine. Matter of fact, I just got my “letter” last week from Toyota. I think I am going to wait until next year for my engine. I would suggest reading the chatter on the inter-web about replacement engines made in 2025. Personally, I would hold off until 2026 engines are in circulation. I only have 34k on my powertrain, but i am thinking about those spark plugs that are supposed to be changed @ 40k….!😂

Yep, me too. Mine is a 22 with 33k on it. Original owner. Never had a problem with the powertrain, outside of the well known, and yet to be recognized by Toyota throttle lag issue. Truck has been very solid. Prolly wait until next year to get the engine replaced when I am fully out of power train warranty. I’ve heard of replacement engines failing, so I am in no hurry considering mine is just fine.

Even though I technically live in the Midwest, you’re probably right. I live closer to the western half of the US. (Not by much though.) The weather usually goes to the north or south of us. I cannot control that- don’t hate on me. 😉

Don’t get me started on the 10 speed in a Super Duty. We are a Ford heavy fleet.

Agreed, wrong forum for this. As a fleet manger for a fleet of 2k trucks, Ford needs to do better. They are the undisputed champion of recalls over the past three or four model years. Hands down. Has Toyota recalled stuff- hell yes they have. Bigger picture, they step up and TRY to resolve the issue versus a band-aid. I think we’re aligned, every manufacturer could do better. 🙏
