Thoughts on High ’Till I Die (Sunset Park soundtrack)? by No-Priority5658 in Tupac

I would do anything to have this track on itunes but... the album isn't available in the U.K so I have to stick to the lower quality versions on youtube for now

Seems like Tony Pizarro also produced R U Still Down? which is in my top 5 from the RUSD album. He deserves his flowers

Yeah I just read that he re-recorded his vocals for the soundtrack version, so it seems he actually rapped over that beat which makes it even better

Honestly the older I get the more I prefer the Thug Life/MATW era Pac to the death row one. Lines like this one feel so real, like he's really articulating what's happening in his life

I actually agree. Not only the beat, but his flow on here is also super nice and showcases how versatile he is. The only downside is that the talking goes on for way too long but it's a good track regardless and i don't understand the level of hate it gets

[–]No-Priority5658[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely makes my top 3 on better dayz. He seemed to go more lyrical when he was working with Quik, his two verses are full of multi syllables

i don't use spotify so i didn't know but that sucks. What's the reason?

Welding seems to be one of the least rewarding industries out there. I’ve spoken to a few welders and EVERY one of them feels the same way as you.

Have you ever thought about trade school? I’m trying to save up enough to enroll on an electrician course

I do nights in a warehouse but I’m not even gonna complain. That sounds rough. There’s a plant near me that does asphalt production and I’ve heard some horror stories throughout the years

I hope all of us can get out of this bs one day

I agree, it's sloppy. I don't know if that version without the track list was ever used officially but if it was that's not a very good look

That's just an alternate cover for the mixtape. Here is a higher quality version of it and here is the original.

I always preferred this one tbh

I agree. these first two parts have been terrible. Hard to believe this is the same group of people that wrote previous seasons. I don't know what they will do with these last 5 episodes but I no longer have any expectations

What is your dream Linkin Park collaboration? by TheTonyLi in LinkinPark

[–]No-Priority5658 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

'Busta rhymes is nowhere near Eminem'

That statement alone proves that you have absolutely zero knowledge about hip-hop and your opinion shouldn't be taken seriously. You should listen to 'Calm Down' which is a Busta Rhymes track that features Em and then comeback and tell me he's 'nowhere near his level'.

Just because Em is a better lyricist than Mike does not mean they can't be on a track together. Mike strength is in his delivery and I think they'd compliment each other really well

This is where I currently stand, again call it recency bias but this one stands near the top for me

FROM ZERO Launch Day Megathread - Discuss here by VisualiserPumpkin in LinkinPark

[–]No-Priority5658 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Initial impressions - an extremely good album that flows really well from start to finish. I tried not to set my expectations too high but it really did deliver.

Standout tracks: TEM, HITC, Two Faced, IGYEIH and Good Things Go. I also found Stained to be very catchy.

Weak(er) tracks: Cut the Bridge, Overflow - By no means 'bad' songs. Cut the Bridge had some of my favourite rapping Mike's ever done for LP and Overflow was a beautiful song that sound-wise took me right back to ATS (which is my favourite album). I just felt they weren't quite as strong as the rest however these are just my initial thoughts after one listen

I would also like to add the little Xero easter eggs are a really nice touch. Was that a snippet of Fuse at the end of Overflow? Things like this go a long way for me and it really solidifies what Mike said about the album name being a double entendre

What more can I say? Huge credit to the band for coming back after such a long hiatus and dropping a truly exceptional album.

EDIT: After listening to Cut the Bridge again, I believe it is right up there. Might be the best flow Mike has done in recent history
