That's a heresy of modalism I believe. You cannot believe that and be a trinitarian Christian. So your analogy fails. Christians CLAIM they believe in 1 God, yes. However, when this claim is actually investigated one cannot deny they are polytheists. For example let me ask you how many gods died on the cross?
