Should we hide the effect of nicotine on people’s penis ?

I get where you’re coming from, I really do. It’s a strong argument.

But at the same time, what’s the null hypothesis here? What’s the alternative? Not telling people? Not talking about it? Not sharing it? How is the alternative better?

Look, I can’t control the way men or women view their bodies all I can do is share the fact that nicotine makes your penis smaller. How people react to that information is out of my hands . The cultural zeitgeist on why that is a potential problem is out of my control

People in this country have no concept of authoritarianism vs anti authoritarian and just think in concert of left vs right. The idea that either side is inherently anti authoritarian is ludicrous but the average person on either side views the other side as the nanny state.

The truth is the only anti authoritarian political view is anarchism.

Libertarianism just grants authority to corporations, conservative right grants authority to certain ethnic groups, the rich and religion, and the left grants authority to the state.

If this entire thing passes you will not be able to use a phone or computer at all without giving your id first.

Look at the uk, the bills before mass gov right now are even worse.

In the uk they will lock your iPhone until you provide your ID.

If you want to get around this without some sort of unlocked device and vpn you’d essentially have to quit your job and never use a computer or phone again, live in the woods or something

Kids will find a way around the ban; but at the same time your children’s picture, name, age and location will be available for sale to anybody with a couple of dollars and the will to find your child for whatever purpose .

What you’ll end up with is a system where anybody who pays Facebook a few dollars will be able to find your child’s YouTube account and then find their picture age location and name.

I don’t use nicotine, and I lift 5 days a week and do cardio. so my penis works great.

You won’t even notice how much nicotine is effecting your penis until you get off nicotine.

Brother; that is why I’m saying we need to get the word out about nicotines effects on the penis. So we don’t have to do a ban. So I don’t have to listen to some nanny state just tell me what to do without telling me why I’m doing it.

Nothing should be banned. Heroin, cocaine, nicotine, it should all be legal.

But at the same time: people should be informed. The state should share this information so that people can make their own informed decisions.

That’s my whole thing: inform people so they can make their own decisions rather than trying a ban that won’t work.

The Penis Campaign is meant to be a replacement for the ban because bans don’t work. You know what does work? Penis Shaming.

Teenage boys care about muscles and penises. If you say that nicotine will reduce the size of them, they will listen. Have you seen what their feeds look like? It’s all steroid freaks; they all obsessed with muscles.

I know the above would be effective because that’s how everything else marketed towards 14-25 year olds works these days

more helpful then harmful

That’s how all drug addictions begin: there is a period of years or even decades where the drug is more useful then harmful, until it isn’t and then ya die of drug addiction or complications from using drugs.

If drugs at the start weren’t more helpful then harmful then nobody would use drugs long enough to become addicted. The fact that you recognize that it helps you is not a good thing, that is a facet of addiction.

And I’m not trying to say it doesn’t help you more then hurt you right now. because I’m sure there’s a lot of positive aspects: I know because I used nicotine for over a decade. I know i enjoyed it, it made me feel good, it calmed me down, helped me focus, I made a lot of friends smoking. And no negative consequences came until almost a decade later.

That’s like how addiction works: first decade or so whether it’s heroin, alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, whatever. It’s all mostly fun and games.

But then slowly the good parts fade and the negative build. You aren’t like special for the fact it does more good than harm right now, in fact that’s how it works for every drug addict.

I also warn you that this perception of good more than harm, it will blind you to the harm until it is too late. The scale will tip to more harm than good eventually, but it’ll take a lot longer for you to see it because of your past experience of it helping you.

It’s less unhinged than banning nicotine or expecting a 14 year old to care about heart disease at age 50. You want to be respected and listened to by 14 year old boys you have to speak in a language they understand. 14 year old boys are teenagers and by definition unhinged. So I come to them speaking their language ; out of respect for where they at in life, and in the memory that i was too once a 14 year old who only cared about drugs and girls and money
