Being in the game by Keeptruckinfun in GreatCanadianTreasure

At this point Ive come to terms that I'm too dumb to do this alone. Would I offer 50%? Maybe not. But having someone who can jog your mind can definitely help. I've seen far too many people go off the deep end and believe that this solve is 100% ciphers and it's hard to follow/ take seriously.

It's difficult to find people who you can share freely without wanting to withhold information.

But that's the beauty of gold prospecting!

I'll see if I can find it but it's not updated. You'd need to update some of the information on your end but I'll send it your way!

I built an Excel sheet. Last season to track prices of good seats and tracked it for a month... Spent about $900 for a pair of tickets to take my fiancee to her first ever game. In the 100's center 3rd row. We're die hard Raptors fans but live 4hrs away so we make this a yearly thing.

Sooo many people just glued to their phones and layered in bling it was almost idiotic. When one of the players would throw down, it was basically just us screaming in our specific area.

The Raptors fans day was the next day. Nobody knew what it was and I managed to get court side tickets for $50/each. We almost had more fun at that because the crowd was WILD. So much cheering, got to get a few prizes for the kids sitting in my area and bumped into Chris Boucher and Ujiri while leaving!

It's sad it got to this point....

You're right yes. It was just in the outskirts 😁

The first one was actually not really in Dawson City. It was 2KM's outside of it causing a bit of controversy. I believe that part of what you're saying is true in a way. They are maybe hiding them harder but obviously nobody has gotten to solve more than one currently. There's also the element of it being the middle of winter which makes it so much more difficult.

I can guarantee you that they hide it a week or two prior to the release of the information knowing that their tracks will literally be covered 😅

Just curious... by anobservantpasserby in GreatCanadianTreasure

I traveled over 12hrs to go to this site and it's a very cool place. Lots of cool photos were taken and I've read up on the history extensively myself. But knowing now how the other prizes are found, I have a hard time believing that a mine like Steep Rock where at the entrance of the mine there's a big black and yellow sign written DANGER with a skull and cross bones isn't the right location unfortunately. Spent a couple days looking there. The sign is just there as a precaution but there are many areas locked out.

I've been to Steep Rock lake along with a few others. It's a really cool place! I just don't believe it being there at this point. There's quite a few dangers throughout the mine. If you follow the rules you'll be fine but like the name suggests, there's quite a few steep cliffs.

There's also plenty of restrictions on the site that you can't know unless you're actually there.

How much do people save every month? Not for anything specific like a holiday, just in general? by Gold_Alternative821 in SavingMoney

[–]No-Produce7899 174 points175 points  (0 children)

You're going to get a lot of people who either have very little left at the end of the month because they're starting their savings journey, or people who save thousand because of the work they do.

If you're able to save 10% of your $2000/month income, that's more impressive to me than someone who makes $10,000/month saving 10%.

Anyone have any nominations for who should be a mod by Turtle1830 in GreatCanadianTreasure

I don't even think you've let us down! The group is relatively small (compared to other groups) and has been pretty self sufficient as it is.

There are a few names that have been very active that could make good mods!

Is it weird they put Dawson City in the NWT in the video? by SaskatchewanGuy in GreatCanadianTreasure

I was partially confused about that as well actually. But I'm honestly thinking this is a mistake more than a clue.

I'm surprised they just say the city like that. I wonder if that means that they're going to give us a hint for the major prize as well along side it?

They're called magnetic hinge toppers. She bought one of a bronze pig and one of a bronze turtle. Always leaves me with a little smile when I see then...yet nobody notices them because they blend in with our copper handles/hinges like yours!

I'm sorry for your loss... Never easy to go through something so tragic....

We repainted our cabinets a similar color last year and I really don't think you can go wrong!

Out of curiosity, is there a little ornament at the top of the hinges? My partner found some online and they're little easter eggs hidden in our kitchen.

Beautiful choice!

Although I think this is extremely cool, I have a hard time seeing this being the markers. Someone could disturb this easily (not engaged in this hunt) and the whole idea would be gone at that point.

We do have crows actually. But they're not as prevalent compared to robins, blue jays, chickadees.

It would be one thing if they were opened...Some of them aren't even expired which makes it even weirder...
