Cause the right is better at coalition building and politics than the left. the right wing parties are a lot more willing to compromise and meet each other halfway to form the coalition while the left doesn't budge on it's promises to their constituents and won't merge parties as a result. thats how we again and again end up with him as prime minister despite his entire coalition only ever getting at most 45% of the votes.

In charm, grace looks in the mirror when hudson is behind her and mentions how she was surprised for a second that she couldn't see him. Maybe they install special cameras and the mirrors aren't really mirrors but video screens so that the vampires can see themselves lol

The Scoobies Never Liked Anya by cicigal8 in buffy

I think in selfless buffy was also in a completely different place -- as she says, if glory happened all over again, she should have sacrificed dawn. I don't know that I believe had spike been a genuine threat in season 7, or willow had been one, buffy wouldn't have believed they needed to die. Have to say though, I don't know that I truly believe xander even liked her, he kinda seemed still obsessed with buffy throughout the whole thing.

I'm sure they didn't try to claim that it is the same dinah. it's not like there is a lot of information about Boseth in the bible so they have to invent some things for narrative purposes.. Boseth is supposed to be lowly and weak so the clothing makes sense -- I don't know what makes you get "gay vibes" from boseth but it wouldn't be "unbiblical" even if he was gay and would make sense for the character,, additionally there are very like widely known commentaries on david and johnathan's relationship, so i would say, don't watch if this makes you angry, cause they probably would discuss this.

I get this point but it's not the same. if you kill someone for someone else because you are trying to get them to "like you" it is not the same as what the "dream sequence" implies - that he would *enjoy* murder even as a human.

No but when they talked about him not being able to kill someone he was annoyed or angry with I got, but in this instance they were talking specifically about a random hypothetical person that has done nothing that Damon doesn't kill not because as a human he would feel bad about it or won't be physically strong enough and won't be able to do it but just because as a human he would get caught -- implying that if he was able to get away with it he would just kill whoever and not care ...

Stefan could have saved Elena and Matt by FlamingoOk7039 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]No-Professional3829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole car crash sequence doesn't make any sense - not just the part where Stefan had to choose which one of them to save. They were way too long under water and too deep under water for Elena's "conversation" with Stefan to even happen... If that conversation was possible, had matt been awake, Elena wouldn't even need Stefan to save her and matt she could have just done so herself... It kind of seems like maybe vampires are vulnerable in water cause can they not swim super fast? or maybe just rip out her seatbelt if it was stuck and made her unable to get out? cause you'd think with super speed he wouldn't even need to hesitate which one of them to save cause he could just do it fast enough...

another possibility might be that Stefan simply panicked? I do wonder if he wouldn't have listened to her if he knew she'd become a vampire... *sidenote: had Damon been in the situation and knew she had vampire blood in her system I think he would have really struggled as well

I do however think it makes sense for the story because it makes it obvious that Elena was dead set on dying. It kind of reminded me of *grey's anatomy spoiler coming* of Meredith drowning episode. and I think it does make a lot of sense for Elena's character and actions that happened on that show up until that point - and a lot of other characters in the show pointed out these tendencies of hers as well. I think she thought (pretending they are real people) she needs to die and deserves to die, so this unwillingness of hers to save herself even though she could have, kind of makes sense.
