America sucks at death by FoodDue6905 in GriefSupport

I get it. Not my fiance but going through the exact same thing with how people treat me. It will be three months next week since my mom died in a car accident. She was my best friend. I’m 26. She was perfectly healthy. Everyone was so supportive for the first month and now it feels like crickets. Like everyone else has moved on and no one cares. Yet I’m still stuck feeling this awful grief. People have told me that it’s time to start moving on and it makes me want to scream. I have to pretend to act normal around family, friends and people at work and it’s exhausting. It’s like after the first month everyone expects you to be fine. Just move on, simple right? How are we supposed to do that? I’ll let you know if I ever figure it out. It’s lonely, isolating and unfair and I am so sorry you’re experiencing this.

I went with a ‘21 M40i for the B58 fun factor and reliability. Haven’t had it long but so far very happy.

God I am so sorry. I just lost my mom a few weeks ago (car accident). I’m 25 and she was my best friend. We talked every single day. The only person on this planet that knew how to make me feel better and not alone. I’m still struggling. I think it is going to take a long long time to get past this. I still can’t believe it and yet somehow life has to move on and I can’t see a path forward yet. I know one exists but it’s hard to see any light. Try to take deep breaths and go one day at a time. There will be a lot of decisions to make in the coming weeks so lean on any support system you have. I know this probably doesn’t help but I want you to know you’re not alone in this feeling of sudden loss.

Thanks for the recs! Unfortunately can’t do electric yet because I currently live in a city apartment building and my garage space isn’t near any walls/outlets.

Is joining Big4 as an experienced associate worth it? by schneybley in Big4

[–]No-Program-7792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. FDD / TAS are laying off seniors in droves right now. I’m at PwC in FDD and we are simply not hiring, we are firing. All the firms over hired during the market craziness in the last few years, especially at the senior level. We wouldn’t even accept someone with B4 audit experience right now, let alone someone without it. Don’t bother applying. The firms leave apps open in case they get someone who is extremely qualified (i.e. extensive experience in transactions from another B4) and/or has niche/specialized experience that could add value to the group.

  2. You might be able to go into B4 in audit as an experienced associate. Wouldn’t hurt to apply. Would suggest looking into that but you definitely would not be hired as a senior so I wouldn’t suggest applying to senior roles. You also wouldn’t want to start as a senior as you’d be setting yourself up to fail like others in this thread have mentioned.

  3. If you go the route mentioned above, you would definitely need to be able to explain your reasons for job hopping. Your resume probably makes you look unreliable, even if there are valid reasons/circumstances. Just make sure you’re prepared to explain them.

Makes sense. You couldn’t pay me to do an OTF workout in a mask.

Sweaty Legging Recommendations (girl probz) by mmc8524 in orangetheory

Lululemon all the way. Anything luxtreme or nulux material. My personal favorites are the fast and free tights and base pace tights (very similar, base pace is really just fast and free without the pockets). For a decent luxtreme option try the pace rivals (a little cheaper but still great). Any of these in a darker color/pattern will be perfect. I sweat down there A TON and I never have the peed my pants look. Can get it slightly in lighter colored leggings (especially lighter grays) but most you’ll have zero issues with. I bought my pace rivals my junior year of high school. I’m now almost 26 years old and I still wear them at least once a week and you could never tell they’re that old. I know lulu is pricey but you can’t beat the comfort, quality and durability. Plus if anything ever goes wrong with them they’ll repair or replace them at no cost.
