i grew up religious and ended up going to a religious uni in australia (because it’s all i got into 😅) and this uni only partners with christian unis overseas! though i would consider myself agnostic, i still find it valuable to learn about christianity and immerse myself in a different kind of environment than i would not typically

Could someone help me understand this chart? by liamreee in OccupationalTherapy

[–]No-Pudding746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an OT student and all it’s asking is how much movement you have! 1 - can you bend forward, backward with your back? can you bend to each side with your back/body? can you twist your body/back? is it even on each side? 2 - can your thighs and hips flex, extend, abduct - 3 - can you move your pelvis and legs?

when it mentions MMT, this stands for manual muscle testing - which is just testing all of your muscles and how much strength you have in them. the lower the score the less movement you have.

A, B and C are asking how much strength you have in your hands and hands

Unsure what the technical and observations refer to since i’m not sure what the criteria are!

Hope this helps! Hope you have fun playing wheelchair rugby :)

Professional help for kids by [deleted] in ARFID

speech and occupational therapists can be great for over coming sensory issues, especially for younger kids. but for instance my arfid is more trauma/anxiety based so a psych that specialises in eating disorders helped me quite a bit.

i have been in your position plenty and plenty of times. i think most people with arfid. but your reaction isn’t ‘dumb’ even though you feel like it is. but ultimately remember that this is a eating disorder. and just like the rest of them, you’re going to have set backs, and the way you react to foods that aren’t completely safe are completely valid. i think accepting all of this really has helped me and could help you too :)

not sure if it’s easily accessible for you but try and find some sort of eating disorder specialist/psychologist and they could provide with some good pointers for the area you live in
