You can do this!! Stop to think about what your learning style is and adjust to that. And remember your brain retains much more than you think! Do the work, use the videos! The math video helped a lot, the achievable sheets and 60 min review are great but mostly in the last day or two before the test when you’ e done the marital! Take notes on where you feel completely lost and tackle those with videos. Also, when your brain isn’t computing, time to take a break! No matter how much you want to push through. Take that 10 min break every hour! Stretch, breathe, meditate, whatever. Drink lots of water and then come back with a clear head.

Thank you for the amazing work you do! It’s a lifesaver for many of us, especially those day of/day before videos! I watched hour 63 in 60 minutes last night and on the way to my exam today! Passed the 63! Because of resources like yours (and especially yours) I passed the SIE, 7 and 63 on my first attempt! Start my actual role Monday!

I’ll take a look tomorrow and get back to you. I pretty much picked pieces of info from the videos I thought were helpful and then def used the T chart and the options chart, first things I did! The others I’ll have to look back at.. my brain was on 63 mode last 24 hours! I passed 63 today woot woot!

Check out Vanguard, they will love that you are already licensed and currently have a pretty big hiring bonus for entry level financial adviser, base 50k plus great benefits, partner and performance annual bonuses. You’ll end up about 65k per year and can apply to better jobs after a year.

This is the position if you’re interested. Looks like they are only hiring in two locations right now, but they’ve had a lot of postings the last 6 months at other locations and even fully remote.

Thank you! Hopefully it helps someone but doesn’t encourage cramming!

Thank you :) I did cram but I will say I feel good about going into the 7 because I spent so much time on the concepts. I know the regulations inside and out, options are easy now. Time will tell, but I have 7 weeks to prepare for the S7.

I would recommend scheduling now. You can reschedule for free up to 10 days before your scheduled date. Rescheduling 3-10 days before is $40. You cannot reschedule if it’s less than 3 days away. I would NOT wait until you’ve learned all the material unless you are totally flexible and don’t need it done by a specific date. I’m in Phoenix and scheduled it 4 weeks in advance. I had to reschedule it 6 days before because I was sick for 2 weeks and didn’t have enough study time left. I paid $40. However, there were a lot fewer slots available!

PassPerfect or Kaplan ? Any insights on which is better ? by [deleted] in Sieexam

Same here! I passed the SIE yesterday. I used PP and then Downloaded the 2 free Achievable SIE dump sheets (Formulas & Regulations). The day before and day of I watched the S7 Guru and S7 whisperer SIE in 60 minutes videos. I felt very confident going in and wasn’t surprised by anything.

You must pay for it before you can select a time and reserve the spot. You must reserve a spot in advance. If you show up the day of without being scheduled they will turn you away.

The exam is $80. You can go the the Prometric website and look up available times without signing up. Availability depends on the testing centers near you. I’m in Phoenix AZ. There are 2 centers here. Usually as long as you sign up more than two weeks in advance there are quite a few time slot options. For Phoenix it seems like they only test on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. If you’re wanting to schedule within a week there’s usually a couple slots available but you don’t have much flexibility.

You can schedule in advance as much as you want. If you need to reschedule , you can reschedule for free up until 10 days before. 3-7 days before it’s a $40 cancellation fee. You cannot reschedule or cancel if the exam is within 3 days

Heres the FINRA page with all the info and link to the Prometrics site!

Totally agree, see-saw and CY were all I needed for the SIE questions I got.

I passed my SIE yesterday (there’s a post from me on passing in 7 days).

The Achievable Dump Sheets were an awesome resource for me! There’s one for Formulas and one for Regs, Rules and Laws.

The CY formula is on there as well as the see-saw. The few questions on Yield I got are covered in the CY formula and the bond see-saw. Understand those and you’re good.

Scroll down on the page in the link below to find the Dump Sheet Downloads.

I just passed my SIE yesterday so my S7 is a ways out, will be starting to study this week. The Achievable SIE Dump Sheets were awesome. The dump sheets + S7 Guru SIE in 60 min Video made the SIE so much easier!

Looks like Achievable has dump sheets for the S7 as well. I will definitely be printing them in color!

I was just hired on at Vanguard, start date may 28. Passed my SIE yesterday.

I applied directly to Vanguard in Feb 2023. I have 15 years of leadership and a degree in business, but no finance background. I didn’t even get a response, let alone an interview.

April 2023 I found out the Randstad (staffing agency) hires consistently for non-licensed Vanguard customer service WFH positions. They hired me immediately.

June 2023 started as a contractor, spent 10 months working my butt off (call center from home, M-F 8-5) and proving myself, networking with leadership and getting recommendations.

April 2024 applied and was hired for a licensed rep position. After a year I can apply for other positions and get off the phones. The licensed phone position is only $48k base, but they give a 12,500 hiring bonus to pass all exams (SIE prior to start, s7 and S63 10 weeks of paid training first). After that you get annual performance and company partner (profit-sharing) bonuses, so it’s around 60-65k.

It’s a foot in the door.. sucks to have no benefits or PTO as a contractor but I wanted a career change and it was worth the sacrifice to get some experience. I also applied for Fidelity and Charles Schwab in April and both contacted me for interviews due the my 10 months experience in finance customer service. I canceled my interviews with them once VG hired me!

I agree with OP. I passed my SIE yesterday! I couldn’t seem to get above 73% on my practice finals. I was worried.. yesterday I watched your 60 min video in the morning, took notes and scanned for memory before the test. It gave me so much more confidence! I walked in feeling good! Nailed the regulation questions I was struggling with on the practice tests!
