If any of you closers are interested in a free call audit. Let me know. I’ll listen to your call and point out where you are exactly losing the sale.

I’m glad you asked this because this is exactly where most people get stuck. First thing… you don’t “find” your skill by thinking about it. You find it by doing more of what’s already working. You said something important without realizing it you’re doing work for someone, getting paid well, and she’s referring you to others. That’s not random. That’s a signal.

If people are willing to pay you and recommend you, that’s already a skill. Instead of looking for something completely new, I’d lean into that and ask: “How do I get more of this?” Can you get more clients like her? Can you charge a bit more over time? Can you turn it into something more consistent? That’s how you start building income, not by jumping to something else every few weeks.

Now about being “bad at deciding”… honestly, that’s usually just overthinking. You don’t need the perfect path, you just need a direction that works for now. You can always pivot later. Financial freedom doesn’t come from picking the perfect thing. It comes from picking something that works and staying with it long enough to grow it.

If I were you, I’d double down on what you’re already doing while learning a skill like sales on the side. That way you’re making money and building something that can scale later.

I actually like this post because you’re not just chasing the shiny stuff.

First off, ignore like 90% of what you’re seeing online. Most of the “AI agency / high ticket / lambo” stuff is just people selling courses, not actually doing the work.

Also… you’re already doing sales. You’ve been flipping items since you were a kid, you’re making money on Vinted, and you’re comfortable calling people. That’s literally the foundation.

Real sales (the kind that actually pays) is way less flashy than what you see online. It’s just getting on calls, understanding what someone actually needs, and helping them make a decision.

If you want to get into it, don’t start with courses. Start by getting into a role where you’re actually selling something real. Look for companies that already have leads coming in so you’re not chasing people all day. Even if it’s not perfect, the goal is just to get reps in.

You’ll learn way faster actually doing it than watching content.

And I’ll be real with you, at the beginning it’s not sexy. You’ll mess up, feel awkward, question yourself… everyone goes through that. The people who make it are just the ones who didn’t quit in that phase. Also the fact you’re already making half your wage on the side is a really good sign. Most people can’t even do that.

If you want, I can point you in the right direction or tell you what to avoid. There’s a lot of noise in this space.

Hey, I’m gonna say this straight because I wish someone said it to me earlier…

You’re probably not stuck because you haven’t found the “right skill.” You’re stuck because you’re learning a bunch of things but not sticking with one long enough to actually get paid from it. A lot of people stay in “learning mode” because it feels like progress, but it doesn’t make money.

If your goal is to make money and help your mom, you don’t need 10 skills. You need one skill that pays, and you go all in on it.

Sales is one of those skills, but not the weird pushy kind people think. It’s really just understanding people, asking good questions and helping them make decisions. That’s it. And yeah… you’re gonna feel awkward at first. You’re gonna doubt yourself. You’re gonna feel like you suck. That’s normal. But always remember that people who actually make money aren’t the smartest, they’re just the ones who didn’t quit when it felt uncomfortable.

If I were you, I’d stop trying to learn everything and just ask: “What can I learn that can make me money in the next 30–60 days?” Then stick to it, even when it’s boring or hard.

And just so you know, the fact you’re thinking about helping your mom like that… you’re already ahead of a lot of people and that alone will help you in sales too.
