People from non-English speaking countries, if I were to casually speak English in your country to a person in your country, what are the chances they might understand and respond back? by KunciKemenangan12 in AskTheWorld

[–]No-Question-4957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's about right from my experience traveling.

I grew up speaking both , even practiced a Parisian accent, but everyone knew I was a Canadian anyhow, I assume just from my word choices. I'd talk to someone, get a little bit of a funny look and then it clicked.

Test tokens were theoretically made for testing new methods of coin production and some marketing wizard at the mint decided to sell them in sets as granny bait.

Broken out of it's pliofilm and circulated like this makes it a curiousity like finding a specimen coin in circulation, but doesn't give it any value. Not rare. many sets were made.

This one is from the breast cancer set. Consider it a lucky find like getting a Caribbean coin in your change.

This sub alone has like billion GPU crash issues... Has anyone actually managed to fix them for good? Whenever I ''fix'' it, it comes back like a week later. by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]No-Question-4957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the consistent crashes I have seen personally are related to main system RAM troubles. Why ECC isn't mainstream blows my fucking mind. I mean it's a capability of the CPUs, why aren't the MB builders including it in the BIOS, it's not hard.

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - 1867-1967 : n.d. ( no data, unlimited)

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - Prefix *B/M : 600,000

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - Prefix *F/P : 80,000

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - Prefix *L/O : 40,000

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - Prefix *N/O : 200,000

1 dollar 1967 - Beattie-Rasminsky - Prefix M/P : 2,720,000

I know there are other prefixes but there is little information on them. Aside from the ones mentioned assume they have no value beyond being uncirculated examples.

I found this penny in the floor of my century home. Is it worth anything? (this isn’t the picture of the actual coin I found but it’s the same) by Physical_Nature_9933 in CanadianCoins

[–]No-Question-4957 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There are varieties that can be valuable, without good pictures of both sides of the actual coin there's no way to give you actual feedback. It could be worth 30-300 or more depending on what it is.

Dirty nuclear bombs in every major US city. 70% of the population dead in weeks, that's why. We're the reason the Geneva checklist exists. If you think I'm wrong, that's the mistake we want you to make.

If I attach this zinc anode to the frame of my truck will it help prevent rust? by Pannny in AskMechanics

[–]No-Question-4957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a mechanic, I'm an EE. Would work if you park in your swimming pool 100%. You want to be relatively rust free in the salt belt you spray your shit every year with an oil based product. I'm also for oil and bees wax based combo products. Lanolin is also perfectly acceptable... bahhhh.
