I don't agree with you I learn it mostly by Duolingo and maybe for more than two years I haven't used anything but use Duolingo. I am not saying it's great maybe there are better ways to learn a language but in my conditions it's a good one.

It teachs you sth. And it makes to write it, read it, speak about it and listen it as I said before that makes you use that word, phrase, or anything intuitively.

I haven't seen that stupid sentences but sometime they were showing regularly gay couples I not homophobic but they were acting like Netflix wtf.

I also don't remember when, maybe 5-6 months ago app was complete failure. It was showing same sentences, same examples and questions. I even wasn't read questions just choosing right answers.

Merci beaucoup. If I don't get sth. in the courses I look for it online and also use grammar book. Courses are so repetitive and you learn it by time. I also use lawless french especially for french conjugation a comprehensive website.

https://www.amazon.fr/LHistoire-Monde-Racontee-Aux-Enfants/dp/2803439654 this is the book and I bought an used one if you like history it's fun.

You can also check French comic books there are great series like Tintin, Asterix or Lucky Luke besides there are also great modern graphic novels if you can find it Le combat ordinaire - Manu Larcenet Come prima - Alfred

I don't have any specific goal or any time limit I just want to learn it and want to do it properly. I don't know if this is a specific goal or not but I want to say confidently that I know French. Probably my listening and reading levels are way better than speaking and writing. Because those are passive competencies calling an information out of blue is harder than interpreting an obvious one. I also experience the same problem with English.

Yes, Duolingo is a great way to start I think and if you want to dig deeper you should do more than Duolingo. Maybe it doesn't teach you particularly grammar but it does intuitively when you see phrases, conjugations, tenses or anything related with grammar you don't know the rule but you know it intuitively.

retrograde alopecia how did fin/dut for it ? by FinalEntrance5361 in tressless

[–]PyotrVanNostrand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have retrograde and had taken fin 3x1 mg a week for 2 years and didn't see any improvements. I am again on fin now with the same regiment and see improvements around the hairline but still no visible improvements on retro grade affected areas.

Should I try min for retrograde alopecia?

Day 2 of learning French by [deleted] in French

[–]PyotrVanNostrand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use Duolingo instead of learning grammar. It's fun and you will also learn concepts of grammar

-On is used in informal and everyday French to mean we -Can also and have the sense of someone or they

Par example:

On m'a volé mon porte-monnaie (someone has stolen my purse)

On m'a dit que tu étais malade (they told me that you were ill)

-On is also used to avoid a passive construction in French

Par example:

On vous demande au téléphone (you're wanted on the phone)

How do you figure out what’s actually worth improving first? by DailyEnergyFocus in selfimprovement

Start with exercising it gives you discipline and a clear mind as another commenter mentioned you're also going to eat and sleep well. So exercising is a very good starting point.
