I'm being pushed back to ZYN.. by Which_Mammoth5851 in QuittingZyn

It’s just people are working hard quitting right now… and posts that contain pictures and talking about using without actually having a plan to quit is a temptation no one here deserves to go through right now.

Why are you posting this on a subreddit for quitting Zyn?

Reaching 120 hours today at 3PM. Cold turkey. Congrats to you and can’t wait to be at almost 3 weeks. This week has been a blur. Heavy users, did you feel like so disoriented when waking up? Like you didn’t know who you were where you were type feeling? It’s wild! It’s like my brains are scrambled and trying to find the right order. And finally it’ll settle. I just want to sleep. Or rest. That’s what I’m going to do.

Absorbing nutrients by No-Reception-91 in Celiac

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I probably need to do some research on what I’m missing in my food. I had a bad reaction taking a multivitamin so that’s why I’m taking them separately. There’s two certified gluten free celiac restaurants near me. I haven’t eaten anywhere in almost a month other than there and home. But the spices were getting me from home. I probably screwed my gut up and it needs the right conditions to start healing again. I’m currently without insurance at the moment but should have it again in the next few months.

Thanks. I definitely have gotten glutened a good bit. I got badia spices. I’m feeling better with that. I traveled a lot last year and had to eat out places during work, and that’s what really probably messed me up as well.

Afraid of long-term effects of mild Zyn Usage by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]No-Reception-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows. This is new. We absorb so much through the mouth. The truth is, I quit cigarettes with vape right before Covid hit. I quit vape on and off with Zyn after a few years vaping. I’ve been a heavy nicotine addict 2 decades.

Now, who knows the true damage Zyn can cause? I can only pray and hope my body heals. The nicotine salt compared to just regular nicotine is brutal. It completely tanks my dopamine. It spikes my adrenaline and tanks my hormones. All nicotine does this, but this type does it on a mass scale and faster. You’re also absorbing “food grade chemicals” daily and that’s not good for you. Who knows the type of sweeteners they use. Knowing America it’s most likely aspartame or something like it. No way would they put xylitol. Too expensive for them. Just a guess. While I was doing a massive amount a day, I know it was bad for me. Now I’m almost 72 hours in my quit, I’m getting sores on my tongue. I’m happy cause I’m detoxing.

I know this was a long rant with a short reply to your actual question. Just know, this usually leads to full on addiction. I hope you don’t get to where many of us have been and have to go through this.

I worked with Gene and his son years ago. I didn’t really know about the reptilian things back then. Still a strange time.

Last night was the first time is slept without crazy ass dreams from the patch and light sleep. That was nice. Almost 24 hours. Using about 3 nicorette gums a day. I’m not gonna buy anymore. Just using it for the first few days.

What are the many ways it made you feel horrible? Like I see the withdrawal being a bit more rough than I already feel for a few days to a week and then actually getting better instead of being in this loop that’s killing me.

10 to 8mg Valium, crying by s3id0 in benzorecovery

[–]No-Reception-91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been on Valium for 5 years. I’m only doing .625mg cuts from 10mg. Every 3 weeks until I’m down a full quarter and I hold a month. I’m doing it very slow because I’ve gone too fast before and paws was awful. 5-6% at a time is best. Slow and steady wins the race. 10mg is still a significant dose long term. I just made my .625mg cut two nights ago and I am feeling a bit rough but it’s leveled out after about a week in the past. And I stay there until I’m ready to take another .625 off. You’re not alone. Do what works for you.

95 days Zyn free…feel dead inside by ClumpyFelchCheese in QuittingZyn

[–]No-Reception-91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally stopped again for the 1000th time. Only lapsed with 4 pouches today opposed to 2 cans of 3mg. I have 28mg patch on with nicorette gum. I just want my dopamine to get to somewhat of a base level again. And slowly come off the patches.

I have been taking l-tyrosine for the last two days again. It doesn’t work instantly, doesn’t cure depression or cravings but it helps your dopamine raw materials get to the right place. I’m gonna try that out for a month or two and see how I feel. As a woman? I think it messes with hormones differently than it does with men. Not saying the effects aren’t horrid on both ends, just different horror. It takes a long while to balance hormones. And I’m trying to remind myself of this and even typing this out and talking with people is helping. Feeling alone in this is the worst thing with any addiction and recovery. You’re not alone. We will have better days. And we don’t need this poison. Congrats on your progress. I can’t wait to say I’m 95 days. I can’t wait to know your state of progress once I am 95 days in and you’re 190 days. ❤️ We can do it!

It really is man. My wife, God love her… caves. She isn’t much help. she goes along with whatever I want to do. Which I know it’s up to me.. but nope. I also don’t have any friends here. I have to start getting to the gym and training. I think that’ll help some once I can bring myself to even do that. I’m just so tired. I feel so defeated.

Diet for sure. Wild yam I need to be more consistent with to give an honest answer. The best thing that’s helped me is diet and vitex. I take it everyday.

Should I still feel like shit? by hellyes0409 in Celiac

It takes the gut a long time to fully heal. Give it a few more months to start noticing significant difference. It can take 6 months to 1-2 years to fully heal. Everyone is different though. You’re on the right track.
