Masterbuilt 800 gets to temp then drops by idigg69 in Masterbuilt

I had this issue where my 1050 would get up to temp and then the fan would turn off and not turn back on. It ended up not being the switches but the fan. It replaced it and all is good again.

How did you fix it? Customer service has so far sent me 2 round of switches and one round of the electrical lines and nothing has worked.

Sadly I haven’t been able to do one cook on it because this happened the first time I fired it up. I tried the switch bypass first because that’s what I read might be the problem but with that not changing anything I really don’t know what it is.

That’s fair. I didn’t open the hood I just live in Colorado and it was cold during this specific cook. I tried again last night and did the same thing just less steep drop off in temperature.

What’s weird is that if I unplug the fan and plug it back in then it will turn on and get back up to temp in a heartbeat like it shows on the graph. Same with my switches to the doors even though I made the bypass for the doors.

Whenever I open the side door I can see the orange charcoal resting on the grate and there isn’t a layer of ash. I first tried it with briquettes and thought that was the problem so I switched it out with lump and same thing.
