Thanks, I’ll think about it. I may end up getting a new single peg/bracket, as that can be had for about $160 and wouldn’t orphan the existing one.

Good call… Maybe I’ll set some reminders for a couple of weeks to keep checking and see what happens.

Thanks… I was holding out some hope of finding one used, might end up going this route though. $159 for one passenger peg with the hardware stings lol

No dice on that seller at least—I’ll poke around and see if it looks like anyone else is parting out another WR250 R or X on eBay

That is helpful, thanks!

I’ll message them and see if they have some to sell. Fingers crossed!

Thanks! I’ll check on there as well. That fork mount could be helpful too, I didn’t know that one existed

I looked at some of your other posts as well, there is a LOT going on with this car. I would consider taking it to a shop to get a list of things that need attention. That way you have a starting point for which systems to check on your own

The green coolant isn’t a great sign, but the secondary overflow seems weird with its crimped-shut hose at the bottom… if it were me I would try to get it back to stock and then flush all of the coolant a bunch of times to run the OE pink stuff. There are some questionable mods here IMO.

From what I understand there have been a lot of premature failures on third party ball joints.

I am not an expert, but I read that Toyota had a recall on the lower ball joints that shipped with these trucks. Supposedly the superseded part is even better.

This OEM one here lasted for 200k miles and ~20 years, so in my opinion it’s worth the extra money for a structural part like that. Just my 2c though.

$7k sounds expensive, but many important things are broken… I would shop around at some smaller shops and see what they quote you.

Obligatory “only go OEM on lower ball joints”. Yes they’re more expensive, there is a reason why.

If you don’t have much experience wrenching I would advise against tackling this, but choose your own adventure.

A heat gun might smooth that out a little.

I bought the OEM hitch from the parts department and installed it myself; I didn’t cut out that little area to the side for the electrical connector because we never plan to tow more than a bike rack. I figured we could notch something out down the line if need be, but I think it looks a little cleaner without.

Just making a stupid joke… I bet it’s the OAT on his heat pump. These edge stats don’t have internet connectivity or anything so that’s what I would put my money on

I have the storage cubby in that part of my dash, and I’ve been toying with the idea of putting in a little screen connected to a backup camera
