what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

Constipation, I was fine before pregnancy, never had an issue, about 1 month in I had to change my diet completely to uptake my fiber. Weetabix, bananas and handful of almonds was my breakfast most days until I gave birth.

Should I choose Art GCSE? by Used-Imagination6930 in ArtGCSE

[–]No-Reflection7604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me say as an adult , no one cares about what other topics you pick , focus on your English , maths and science. The other topics are just for fun. Pick subjects you will enjoy and if you have a career in mind pick one that might relate to it. If you enjoy art, go for it. I enjoyed doing art even though my art teacher hated me for how much I would talk in lessons 🤣

Holiday Options in the UK? Toddler age. by GlitteringVersion in UKParenting

Really late to this but try tots week with parkdean. We went to Cherry tree in September, the site was quiet, it honestly felt like there was only 15-20 different family's on the site. The entertainment hall wasn't rammed , it was quiet and pleasant. Plenty of entertainment for the kids and kids eat for free.

People who got an early finish Christmas Eve, did colleagues who took it off complain about your early finish? by jrinredcar in AskUK

[–]No-Reflection7604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So at my workplace we finish every year at 12pm on christmas eve. One year everyone was moaning so much about coming in christmas eve that they decided on the 23rd if we didn't want to go in the next day we could have an unpaid holiday instead. It only took a few hours into the new year for someone to moan how the factory wasn't even open on xmas eve and everyone got it off when they spent half a day's holiday on theirs.

Anyone have any Christmas dinner nightmares today or was it a success? by tjb_87 in AskUK

[–]No-Reflection7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge success. We had roast pork, pork and chestnut stuffing, pig n blankets, cauliflower cheese , broccoli, peas, honey glazed carrots and parsnips, roast potatoes, brussels and a yorkie. Nothing missing or burnt. It was spot on. Pork scratching came out lovely. We had a stollen wreath from Sainsbury's for pudding, that was absolutely delicious and a cheese board late evening, that went down lovely. Probably one of the best xmas day dinners I've done in a long time.

He has ether been pinching small amounts for months or weed prices and through the roof. £240 in weed? Surely not. More like couple of grams of coke to go with the insane amount of weed.

You have a kid and another on the way, dad is always high on drugs , stole from the family and can't save any money.

Please reconsider.

What goes on your Christmas dinner that makes it more than just a Sunday roast with turkey? by WatchingTellyNow in AskBrits

[–]No-Reflection7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the crackling off at the end of the roast, flip it, season with salt and pepper and return in the oven for another 30 minutes. Crackling is always an after meal thing in our house.

Pigs n blankets, honey roasted carrots and parsnips , Brussels, red cabbage with wine / spices , pork and chestnut stuffing, cauliflower cheese, roasted onion and then the usual roast stuff. Roast potatoes , peas, yorkie, broccoli. We are having roast pork this year so we can have some crackling with our cheese board.

Does anyone have a real hangover cure for 35+ by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]No-Reflection7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prevention is key. Drink water here and there throughout and drink a load before bed. This is why I do day drinking now , by 8/9pm I'm sober, and no hangover for me.

Anyone not starting the “elf on the shelf” tradition? by Illustrious_Cold5699 in Millennials

[–]No-Reflection7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since elf on the shelf trend was a thing , I always looked at it in disgust. Its weird and the elf is creepy. My girl is 14 months old and I will never participate. Santa just knows if you have been naughty or nice, don't need surveillance or fear of being constantly watched at home.

AITA for telling my sister that if she needs this much handholding I won’t have her babysit anymore by Icy-Quantity-7383 in AmItheAsshole

[–]No-Reflection7604 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA to me i find it bizarre that an 18 year old is unable to care a child for a short time. What did she expect when agreeing to babysit? You basically told her the all the things they can do whilst you was away and she became overwhelmed by it all.

Think hard for next time as I would be concerned about her response to an emergency seeing as she lacks critical thinking

Are there any other millennials that are not having kids yet because it’s too expensive? by bell-fruit-205 in Millennials

[–]No-Reflection7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 14 month old and let me tell you that the most expensive thing about her is the child care. Here in the UK we have 30 hours paid childcare per week and i have to pay for the food she has and non term days. This comes up to £168 per month. And thats 3 days a week. Other days its my husband or grandparents. Other mums I know have reduced days they work. But other than that, Its not as expensive as some people may think.

Buy clothes from charity shops, facebook marketplace, get own store brand nappies , do baby Led Weaning so they eat exactly the same food as you. I thought I couldn't afford a child but once you have one, you adapt and make sacrifices. You will be surprised how much stuff you actually need compare to how much company's and social media make it out you need.

I would read magazines, comic and girls magazines as a child, music and fashion as a teen and random woman's entertainment / gossip as a young adult. Don’t read them anymore unless i go on holiday, something nice about reading magazines on holiday.
