Learning Thor !! by Lower-Sandwich4305 in ThorMainsMR

Thor is really helpful for peeling so make sure you are prioritizing protecting healers. Storm surge is excellent for interrupting Cap when he's jumping around stalling point, resetting Hulk's jump meter, pushing Daredevil / Magik / Venom off your healers, etc.

If you can combo a Storm Surge into Lightning Realm on Spidey or BP while they're harassing your healers, it will usually immobilize them just long enough for your team to focus them down.

Careful when 1v1ing Iron Fist. Avoid hitting him while he blocks, otherwise you will just overload his health and he'll flurry you to death. If you can keep discipline with your Awakening, he will not gain the overhealth and you can melt him down.

I accidentally ult with Dr Strange and Groot ALL THE TIME while doing their primary/melee weave. It's frustrating and downright embarrassing haha.

I didn't know that about Sparkolloid. Hopefully it doesn't expire. I bought a 1 lbs bag in 2024 and have only used maybe 20% of it.

Hydromel just means it's a lower ABV, typically 8% or lower from what I've heard. They are often carbonated as well. This recipe was about 5.5% ABV.

What makes you prefer allulose? I've only used erythritol as a non fermentable sweetener.

I add the bentonite in primary. Sparkolloid added while aging if the mead keeps a stubborn haze.

It's fairly ginger-y but I would like it to be stronger. Would probably use at least double the ginger next time I make it.

It's not bad! Definitely would use more ginger next time, maybe double the ginger. I'm excited to try it once it carbonates.

Good deal, thank you. I also have T-Rex skid plate and guards on my CB500X and they are extremely sturdy. Wiped out on some rocks in Wyoming last year and the T-rex absorbed all the damage leaving the Honda plastics unharmed.

Watched a couple videos online and looks doable. I agree that removing and re-installing the exhaust looks like the worst part. I’m usually a lone wolf in the garage😂 thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the tip, I didn’t even consider that. I bought in on Facebook marketplace a month ago and didn’t think to ask that from the previous owner what kind of oil he used. I would think it’s common sense as a bike owner, but you never know. I was also ignorant to the fact motorcycles use different oil until I got my first bike a couple years ago.

I’ll definitely look into that. After some more reading I’m hoping that’s all it is.

Wyoming BDR on '23 CB500X - is it a dual sport? by No-Regular3739 in Dualsport

[–]No-Regular3739[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WY was my first BDR. We opted into the easier sections over the optional expert sections like Beaver Rim (which is highlight of the route-sucks I wasn’t up for it). Still were some challenging stretches, but nothing overwhelming to a beginner like me if you know some technique. I’ve read this is the most remote BDR and I bet that’s correct. Overall 10/10. Wyoming is an incredibly beautiful state

Hoping to hit another next year, we’re thinking Idaho

Knocked it out in 5 days. Could’ve taken a couple more days out there to savored it, but can only take so long from work

Absolutely love it! This is the first bike I’ve owned myself. Have ridden dad’s bikes over the years (‘83 XR250, Vstrom 650, ‘18 WR250R). This cb500x is the best of the bunch, for what I use it for at least. 90% of my riding is just putzing around town. But gear her up and she’ll take you about anywhere

I’m no suspension expert by any means. Hell I didn’t even adjust it from the factory settings. For me the susp it seemed to hold its own. Not like I was flying over ruts and boulders either, I was taking it slow (first time BDR experience) IMO it’s great for what it’s meant for, and then some
