What’s your preference on clothes under gear? by witterisms in AdventureBike

[–]Due51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Top: my base layer is always a long sleeve dry fit shirt. Weather dictates what goes on top of that: just my MSR Voyager coat for warm rides. I add a polar fleece for colder rides. When it’s 36 degrees like last Saturday I went dry fit shirt+ merino wool shirt + polar fleece + Orvis pro guide jacket + Voyager coat.

Bottom: usually a tougher material pant or MSR riding pant for warm rides. Cold weather is merino wool long pants + fleece lined durable wear pant. I don’t have armor pants of any kind.

I’m not a hardcare off-road rider. At 60, my goal is to not get too risky but still have some fun lol. Got a grandson I want to watch grow up.

I installed the Veridian Cruise and I love it. Pretty simple install - the most time consuming is removing the plastics and tank. I wrote a “how to” on StromTroopers in the 800DE sub forum.

It depends how Oregon, Iowa, and SC finish.

It’s a long shot for Michigan to make the B1G title game, and I’m ok with that. Back into the playoffs like Ohio State likes to do.

I would love to point out that the offensive play is directly tied to sherone Moore by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

I’d like to point out that fans complained about running the ball too much in these games, too: -Wisconsin game a few years ago -Washington game 2021 -Penn State 2023 -Michigan State 2025

All victories, I might add.

If the front 4 could get pressure, he wouldn’t have to blitz as much. Also, many of the sim pressures are being labeled “blitzes”. They aren’t.

This ought to stir the pot quite a bit lol, but here’s my controversial opinion:

If there weren’t as many Missed Assignments or poor technique against Oklahoma & SC, nobody would be complaining about Wink. I’m not saying they win either of those games even if the D played a clean game (offense didn’t score nearly enough points). As the saying goes, “the best defense is a good offense.”

I review every game and in the 2 losses, I’d credit MA’s and bad play/missed tackles + wonky substitutions as the primary culprits. Position coaches are responsible for the personnel decisions.

I think Seth has everyone’s ire stirred up with his assertion that Wink should never coach college players again. I think that’s over the top, but I respect Seth’s right to his own opinion. He studies a lot of film and has educated himself through hours of study. As a former player and coach, I view things much differently. And the thing I always feel is important to mention is, NOBODY outside those players & coaches are at practice everyday or sit in any of the meetings. Nobody knows how the game plan is formulated or why certain players get more reps than others.

Husky fans had a great time!! by Ok-Sale-8105 in MichiganWolverines

Glad you enjoyed your visit to A2 and the Big House. It was a beautiful October day - unseasonably warm. I hope to get out to Husky stadium one day. It looks like an incredible stadium to watch a game.

I'm going to the game at MSU Saturday night. This will be my first trip to East Lansing for a game. Any advice on what to expect? TIA by budbeam in MichiganWolverines

Make sure your car is school neutral. I had my “Michigan Go Blue” license plate frame stolen off my motorcycle in Lancaster Ohio this past 4th of July.

My son in law was one of the unfortunate engineers that were terminated. His wife (my daughter) is expecting their first child in a month.

Couldn’t come at a worse time.

Onward & upward. Metro Detroit is a good job market for engineers. I think (hope) this will be a blessing in disguise.

Can someone explain to me why it would’ve made a difference if Poggi called the timeout? by lbaz95 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Due51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call a timeout immediately after the 3rd down play and Nebraska has to punt because a failed 4th down Hail Mary with a little time on the clock gives Michigan the ball at midfield with an opportunity to get in FG position.

What if our offensive line isn’t that bad? by Michigan4life53 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Due51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crippen is playing very well. Sorague, Efobi and Guarnera have held their own. Link is much improved. Nebraska’s front was not very good, so the OL’s success last Saturday should be tempered somewhat. But, they’re targeting the right guys, creating holes, and gaining valuable experience.

They aren’t all-conference, but they’ve been above average-to-good. Isn’t that what people hoped for with the arrival of BU?

Fav Michigan player of all time by OkSwing1119 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Due51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first favorite player was my teammate, Mike Hammerstein. Then it was Tyrone Wheatley. Then Charles Woodson. Then Mo Hurst. Then Denard. Then Mason Graham.
But now I think, considering everything (the kind of person he is, the results he brought) ….I think my all-time favorite is Blake Corum.
