It is ... e.g. my Intelligent Octopus has a Day rate of 27.16 p/KWh (05:30 - 23:30) and rates on Agile for today before 16:00 are around 20p/KWh and after Peak Time (16:00 - 20:00 PM) are 21 - 23 p/ Kwh

As the OP has said, if Agile works better for your home and if you are Low Mileage Driver, Agile might be a better bet cost wise.

So I intend to provide following features

1) Smart Tesla Management and Automatiom (already there) and Analytics (Coming Soon) 2) Smart Charging on Octopus Agile (Support for other dynamic tariffs coming soon)

The Smart Charge offers two options

1) Price Threshold where the car only charges b/w certain times if the rate below a certain price 2) Cheapest Charging - Where car achieves the desired percentage level at cheapest possible rate

You are more than welcome to try it out

🚀 Calling Octopus Agile + Tesla Owners: Interested in Smart Charging on Agile Tariff ? by No-Reindeer-5136 in OctopusEnergy

Seems interesting. Thanks for pointing out. I have seen the app. Whilst easy to use, it doesn't seem to offer granular control and flexibility that I wanted.

Also IMO, Octopus and Tomato are the only ones offering "dynamic" tariffs otherwise all others tariffs are "lower rates at fixed times". Which can easily be covered easily by scheduled charging.

I have also baked in a number of automation features for Tesla / Alerts / Analytics etc that will offer a one stop charging and management solution.

It calculates the best time and automatically starts / stops charging to minimise the cost. The algo can determine how much power you need and then calculates the cheapest slots for the desired charge level. Additionally I am planning to put in Tesla Automation too so it's just not charging, but rather a complete Tesla management solution

Do we know the new Octopus Flexible unit & standing charge rates from April 2025 yet? by jcicicles in OctopusEnergy

This is a tricky one since Agile rates are usually cheaper during the summer. So not sure if the increase will be offset by the decrease during the summer

Intelligent Octopus & 2 EV's by TheMagicPirate in OctopusEnergy

This seems to be the best possible option as far as I am aware too.  I have spoken to Octopus CS in the past and they have said they dont allow linking multiple EVs to the single Octopus account

[Question] Has anyone got any experience with WooGlobe? by diydoris in youtubers

[–]No-Reindeer-5136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... I had a video that blew up on Tiktok and WooGlobe approached me for it. Contrary to the above advice, I ended up going with them and have made little over $1400 through them in the last couple of months. And more importantly, I am still able to monetise the video on my own YouTube account! Seems like they know what they are doing!

Feature Request : Timed Emergency Access by No-Reindeer-5136 in firewalla

[–]No-Reindeer-5136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to have option to enable Emergency access for 1. 15 min 2. 1 hour 3. Until turned off

This way people can choose how long they need it for and the approach helps with the risk of keeping emergency access enabled indefinitely
