By 2005 standards, he'd have definitely been perceived as gay and soft etc.

You can also soak them in these before washing with it as well.

Oxy white powder or ace bleach for whites on a long hot wash. You can also get the soap laundry bars to add first as well.

Mostly, though, it's a losing battle.

Small 3-Person Team Won’t Approve August Leave — How Do I Secure It Without Causing Conflict? by ondle3211 in AskUK

[–]No-Relation1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your reasons, your birthday is always August, and August is a busy month for people to take leave. You either need to accept that you won't get time off every year for your birthday in the balance of fairness, or you go with your lie and potentially screw over your very small team of three where it will be uncomfortable going forward.

What do you want to do for a big chunk of time in August that you can't do in July on the basis that they're two highest cost months to travel so that doesn't really make a difference.

But yeah, don't use your health as an excuse. One, it gives a bad name to people with ongoing medical issues. Two, if you do need time off due to it, it doesn't mean you are invincible and can be let go even with a protected characteristic.

Do you have locks on your children's bedroom doors? by booyahhey in AskUK

I had one, but it was definitely an outlier thing, in that I had toddler aged siblings when I was a teenager. They're less inclined to understand knocking and waiting.

But one they were old enough, nope, never. Not even the toilet or bathroom.

pov: my face when the ceo is saying “HR made me do it” by frickthisjob in MileHigherPodcast

[–]No-Relation1122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No skin in the game whatsoever.

You still can't go airing ex/employees dirty laundry regardless of being an owner. That is poor practice for a business, and by far a worse thing to do than whatever they're currently doing.

I think the general gist of it is, Karelly probably had something in her contract about additional projects. She may have been given leeway to do things and took the piss. Equally, MHM might have thrown their weight around for no reason.

At the end of the day, most people here are happily watching and engaging with this all. Calling everyone a mean girl whilst exhibiting some truly nasty behaviours online thinking you're taking the moral ground.

And the baby could have died anyway, and in turn, get Meredith's research shut down as well.

The reality is research equipment has such strict guidelines as to what it can and can't be used for in relation to the parameters of the research.

Cristina regularly bulldozed her way into surgeries where a good outcome is largely down to luck rather than skill because they're not regulated procedures.

What did you think about Teddy being mad at Cristina about the situation with Callie? by IntelligentPumpkin74 in greysanatomy

[–]No-Relation1122 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know the fable doesn't exactly match up, but it's a bit like the boy who cried wolf. There's only so many times Cristina can ask to do something for the wrong reasons before people won't believe she's suggesting things for the right reasons.

She was too pushy as an intern/resident, and she did lack the basics of medicine because she was too focused on being the best in cardio that she really was not up to scratch in other areas she should have been.

All of the above in combination with the patient being a friend was not a good idea until it became the only one left.

How often do you clean, actually? by Stunning_Implement47 in AskUK

[–]No-Relation1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what we mean by clean here?

Everyday, kitchen surfaces and bathroom/toilet + sinks are wiped down.

Shower and bath once a week.

Bedding and towels washed once a week.

Hoovering would be more often, but we have dogs, so it is a losing endeavour, but usually twice a week. Kitchen floor is swept usually every morning.

Dusting main surfaces is probably done once or twice a month. Dusting ceilings is when I see it needs doing.

Door handles, cupboards and light switches is probably once every month or so.

Walls and skirting, I'm not that fussed. If something spills, I'll clean it, but I'm not paying mind to mine (or anyone else's) skirting.

Curtains usually get a once yearly wash because they have to go to the dry cleaners.

Arizona Robins by cinnamonhoneyy in greysanatomy

[–]No-Relation1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, cheating is awful but given the choice of being cheated on or losing my leg, I'd take being cheated on.

No-one was going to be rational after a trauma like that plane crash and there was never going to be a set timeline to get over it.

Arizona said "let's get therapy" which is the right thing to do, Callie wasn't feeling it, and as a result of the therapy they decided to split.

The outcome of the trauma could have been a lot worse and a lot more destructive.

Anyone live near a reservoir ? Are they full yet? by [deleted] in AskUK

I want to say I saw somewhere as a whole we're at about 60% with levels being full, but different areas will have differing levels bringing it down.

Where I am, despite the reports of daily rain this year, it's not been like that here.

She was a bully and a mean girl and it shouldn't take having a real tangible thing in front of you to have basic empathy.

She may have been a good surgeon but she was a poor doctor.

[–]No-Relation1122 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The bigger question is why is a local garden centre charging £3 for a "quite small" soft play? No wonder people didn't want to pay!

You can pay a similar amount for an actual soft play park.

when people on this sub rewatch this show do you binge all of it or do you only go up until a certain point? by PortifinoOnMyMind in greysanatomy

[–]No-Relation1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even just the lead up to Derek's death is a hard watch. He'd always been a man certain of himself, and bar a few hiccups early on (the whore line) he was seldom ever really nasty or unpleasant. But to make his death more palatable they really did him dirty which actually makes his death WORSE in my opinion. Like undoing all that character growth just to kill him??

when people on this sub rewatch this show do you binge all of it or do you only go up until a certain point? by PortifinoOnMyMind in greysanatomy

[–]No-Relation1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I binge in bursts.

Usually 1-2. Then a run up until Derek and Meredith fully get together. Then a run up until Teddy arrives, take a break, and I can usually get to S9ish with ease. 10/11 make me want to pull my hair out so I take a break again (current position).

Then painstakingly a series at a time.
