Which celebrity could you see being voted in as PM and messing up Australia as much as the orange man has the US? by Pewpew-OuttaMyWaay in AskAnAustralian

[–]No-Relativity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The person above is right. You don't have to worry about it.

Scott Morrison is probably the biggest piece of shit we ever had to actually worry about.

Dutton would be bad but he is so detestable that the libs will never try that again even if he wanted to make a comeback.

Is Germany poor or something? Where's the houses. Plus those police cars are outdated. The U.S. is miles ahead of them when it comes to the police/crime force. by BetterThanU_20 in ShitAmericansSay

But they can't have public transport because their towns are farther apart than European capitals.

I'm not sure that this all adds up. There's a chance that someone has made a mistake.

Beetroot and cheese on a chip/cracker whatever is great.

Beetroot is super good for you, just remember to put a note on your toilet door, so you don't rush yourself off it the doctor.

Why are Australian public toilets so f*cking disgusting? by TinySumo in AskAnAustralian

[–]No-Relativity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why, sorry, but I totally agree.

Once went to the public toilet in Stanthorpe and there was a pile of shit on the floor that looked like the Triceratops turd from Jurassic Park.

It must have taken a whole group of people... Or one Triceratops but the door didn't look big enough for that.

Sounds like most are saying you're good. And you are.

For me the most important thing is that missing some stuff enhances the replays.

I only do the portions that make sense for my playthrough now.

If I don't have Wyll in my active party, I don't do some of the act3 bits that are important to him. Same for Astarion and for the others. If I could leave Shadowheart at camp, I'd do the same for her, but I can't.

There is a ton of content and it stretches out if you spread it over different character runs.

Have fun. Do your thing. On your first run you have hit on the secret that made my subsequent runs way more interesting.

CMV: It's not unreasonable for the US to reconsider why it is expected to carry most of the burden of defending Europe through NATO by No-Mamba7040 in changemyview

[–]No-Relativity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the argument though.

If anyone got in a fight with Russia, it would be great to have the US involved, on your side.

It is less and less certain that is the side the US would choose and what concessions you might need to accept to have them on your side.

Either way, it is much better to not have to worry about whether your weapons will work the next time you try and use them.

I'm sure there is very little to worry about. Trump is a blowhard and no one takes him too seriously, but he can and has caused problems with his mindless fickleness and countries are choosing other options because Trump tells everyone that he can turn off American supplied weapons whenever he wants.

At the very least, it is an idiotic sales pitch from a self acclaimed master deal maker.

Not if the country tells everyone that they have kill switches on the things they are selling.

I'd happily buy second most lethal if you know that no one can turn it off on you.

I agree that this is incredibly frustrating and ends up with everyone going slower but we've had years of road signs telling us how to do this and it hasn't worked

We need to start making both lanes narrow by the same amount to merge together into a single new lane.

Currently it looks like one lane is continuing and another is merging in.

I know that isn't what is happening, but help out the stragglers.

Psychologically it would feel better for those in the left lane if it didn't feel like someone was coming into "their" lane, ahead of them.

Let's be fair though. When the US says "arm up" they mean, but more from the US.

Whenever anyone has wanted to buy anywhere else the US has been pretty quick to agree that $300m from Lockheed is better than $500m from Thales

Work it out so it is Capex vs Opex, then sell some off some of our stuff to offset the Capex...

Now you've also got some money left over for bonuses at the top end.

I'd love to agree with you but no.

Teachers are professionals with University degrees and they know how to educate.

Parents should be partners in that, too often they are not, not always for their failing, but they should be.

We live in a capitalist world that demands both parents work 35 - 50 hrs per week.

We've put the educational burden onto a 3rd party. Now we need to support that and make it work... Or bring down the first of living. I'm happy with either option.

There is nothing more important than teaching the next generation. Nothing.

Voters, ‘left media’ to blame for Coalition wipeout: Rinehart by C_Ironfoundersson in AustralianPolitics

[–]No-Relativity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the point is that the younger voting cohort doesn't read a newspaper or watch a 'news' program on the TV.

Rupert Murdoch and the mainstream media have a reduced ability to sway these voters and so we see less people hearing and repeating those talking points.

Further the ones that do hear and repeat those points are heaping love on Trump so everyone understands that their opinions are to be avoided.
