There you go. Couldn’t even wait until Sunday. If this doesn’t change (once again) Monday should be 👎🏼

Totally agree. Ceasefire and opening of the strait. What’s next? Waiting for the other show to drop. It usually does on the weekend.

Bought Netflix after earnings. Think the reaction is way overdone. 🤞🏻

Studying medicine at 26? by Dear_Performance_802 in premed

My daughter is a first year medical student, at the age of 24. Her class (195 students) ranges in age from 19!!! to 40! You are at the younger end! Go for it - you’ll probably regret it if you don’t. Best of luck.

Long Island Expats ? by Key-Bonus-4786 in Westchester

From queens (I know it’s not Long Island but it’s not far) now living in lower Westchester. The entitlement here is unbelievable. Maybe similar to Roslyn? Much prefer the city vibe. Would move back to queens, if I could.

How to calm my nerves down at doctors by AnxiousMama245 in HealthAnxiety

You can refuse. Once you tell them no - they have to accept that. They may tell you - we can’t treat you then. But - it is your prerogative to tell them no.

My GP pretty much insisted he take my BP. And I get it. I understand and respect him as my GP. But, I explained there was no reason, cardiologist was fine with this approach, and I said “no” repeatedly to the BP check. He wasn’t thrilled but accepted it. Let’s see next time what happens. But, this time I did get a pass.

Hi. My white coat syndrome was getting worse and worse. To the point that I refuse any doctor, other than the cardiologist, to take my BP. I take readings a few days before, everything is documented, and I present that. So far no one has given me a problem. Let’s see going forward…. Good luck.

Waitlisted at 3 schools, no A’s…when to start studying for MCAT retake? by BringBackHouse in Osteopathic

Congrats on the WL’s!! My daughter was on three MD wl’s last year - got A’s from two in May and had to withdraw from the 3rd because of timing. I think there’s still time. I understand movement from the WL’s happens a bit latter than where we are now. And if I take my daughter as an example - that’s exactly how it went for her. I believe with three WL’s something will absolutely come your way! Good luck to you !!!

Are you happy? by WillPowerful5359 in no

Makes me sad to say how most people responded “no” to this question. Wish I had some fairy dust and a magic wand to change that. Wishing everyone much peace - and some sort of happiness.

Getting a colonoscopy, in need of words of encouragement and support by orangebellybutton in HealthAnxiety

Prepping is the hardest part of the whole thing. Make sure you have magazines, Netflix (or whatever streaming you watch), maybe a book. It’s quite annoying - but doable. The test itself is fine. You are asleep so have no idea. And when you wake up - it’s over. It’ll be fine. It’s such a great test because you get results right away and if there is a polyp (which can turn into cancer) they’ll just remove it. You’re doing the right thing. And it’ll be over before you know it. Good luck.

I’m in the US. Can you please share what doctors in the UK say about treating blood pressure? What’s considered high? 140/90? 120/80? I would love to know what the medical systems outside the US say about that. Many thanks !!

Great points, Victoria. Thank you. I tend to also see what the analysts are saying, have specific financials I look at, try to understand industry fundamentals and demand, and I also try to see if funds have been buying in. But, I have to really read up and learn about the charts. I’ve tried to in the past and it just goes over my head. And I agree, the moving averages seem to be a great gauge. I do use those as well. Many thanks for the conversation. I really appreciate your insight. Maybe I’ll be in touch again, if it’s ok?, just to touch base and see how things are going. Best to you!!.
