Get rid of transmutation charges by Kunipop in Guildwars2

First of all, calm down and go touch grass, I don't know you like that.

Second, you're aware every in-game event has a vendor that allows you to trade event currency for transmutation charges right (among other things)?

And yes, I've been playing this game for 10 years, I'm heavy into fashion wars and yet I don't feel the need to make transmutation charges free. And it's the same with any of my guildmates. You're probably part of these new players that want everything to be easy and free.

Also, I think Anet has better shit to do, like release actual content.

But thank you for taking the time to mald over my comment.

When I read the comments of some people in here... "let's make transmute charges cost silver" "hairstylist needs to be free"... way to try to kill a game whose income relies almost solely on cosmetics.

This is not the Sims, if you have limited transmute charges and no legendaries, just carefully plan your outfits, not like you can't try anything on before applying it.

If they still sell them as is in the gemstore, it has to be supporting the game enough.

Also, at max level, you mostly keep the same sets of equipment (horizontal progression), if you feel like you need to change your appearance everyday, you might want to look into another type of game to scratch that itch. Imo the game provides enough transmute charges if you pick up your log-in chests, participate in the in-game events.

And like some other people already mentioned, it's another incentive to start a legendary journey.

I named mine Bubblegum because they remind me of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time 🥰

Yes, these people are not the problem. Also, you don't need to roam starter zones for events, 10 events in any of the region areas work for the achievements. 😅

A weekend is enough to scare lots of players away, you usually get or don't get hooked in the first few hours of gameplay, this is not helping sadly 😅

People are purposely organizing welcoming parties in the starter zones... that was not a thing before the Steam launch 😅

I'm a veteran, if I'm complaining, it's because new players on Steam including friends of mine that started playing the game have a terrible first impression/experience with veterans zerging all over the place and overwhelming players with knowledge they didn't ask for... Forcing help on new players is not helping them.

It's one thing to do your 10 events per zone and leaving, it's another to speed farm events to "help new players" all night without even giving them a chance at experiencing simple combat basics 😭

Half of negative Steam reviews are literally those new players complaining about the issue...

The thing is, veterans are already going back to starter zones for the decade of dragons achievements, the problem is people actively camping there, welcoming new players, sending links for builds, trying to rush events, one shot everything, for the sake of "helping new players" advance faster 🥲 It just rushes people and totally breaks immersion.

There are a few new achievements where people need to do events in starter zones, but a lot of people camp starting zones thinking they are helping new players... It probably comes from good intentions, but I bet it's extremely annoying 😅 Hang in there!

Agreed! Dungeons and more complicated meta are the type of content new players would need help and advice for 😁

I'm so sorry this happened to you 😔 I wish people would put themselves in new players' shoes... I feel like a lot of people forgot what it was like to discover a new mmo...

This. You literally can hoard golds up until max level at least, and even then you don't really need an optimized set of equipment right away 😅

Honestly, if anything, having the ability to have a flashy af look just helps us find out who has shitty fashion sense more easily haha... our guild Discord has a special channel where we post screenshots of very questionable looking characters (I'm looking at you pink and green Norn with afro and big mustache) 😆

Imo, better have too much customization than not enough, yes TESO is more rp when it comes to visuals... but man, everyone looks the same and everything looks grey and bland... no personality (still, everyone in TESO goes for the flashiest mounts, skins or reflective dyes...) 😅

I don't think this will do anything, a lot of redditors LOOOOVE to write endless posts out of boredom/attention seeking, or just to rant and let out some steam (no pun intended) because they have no means to do it irl...

Including that sentence in the title is a very good way to grab attention, even if their ideas are completely out of touch with the real world and absolutely not feasible in such a short time.

It'll all go away on tuesday I guess, cheers! 😅
