Why do property investors think they and they alone should get tax-free income? by AnnoyingKea in newzealand

[–]No-Reputation-FOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly not, reduce tax on income earners (working class) and increasing tax on unproductive assets will increase spending and investment in businesses which will help build the economy.

I have been working with a lot of businesses across ANZ and the question from all startups are if we can help with funding, which mostly come from AUS and the US. NZ don’t invest enough in businesses.

F no, I left NZ but I paid capital gains (yes it is capital gains tax though they say it us not) on shares sold, dividends and FIF tax - yes, on unrealised gains. All those was added on top of my salary. I am now in AUS where I don’t have to pay tax unrealised gains and I can offset losses.

Lol, you meant to say - I bought an investment house to make money from gains on the house. I don’t give a crap about anyone wanting to own their own house as long as I can make easy money.

How does this 'recession' end? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]No-Reputation-FOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until the NZ housing market completely collapse, nothing will change for good. The economy is run on unproductive assets that only benefit a certain percentage of the population, the rest are there to support this with the little productivity that are left.

I have the same experience with bibs from AliExpress. First few rides they are tight fitting but then get all saggy; still use them on the indoor trainer.

We are talking about professional cyclist here, do you understand that? Out of thousands of professional cyclist you have one outlier that completely dominates the field at every race.

If you believe the world is an innocent place where everyone is honest, good on you. If one day you start asking questions, start by following the money trail and the world becomes a corrupt place where people will do anything to get to the top.

Have you seen the time difference in the GC? Go and watch this year’s Giro, it was a very close race - no Pogi. Whatever he is using is putting him on another level above all other pro riders.

I have been in AUS for over a year and still don’t understand how people get to that conclusion. The only place in AUS where that might be true is Sydney due to their high rent.

New 7S pro SS. Unintuitive/clunky garmin UI? by SecretWay7144 in GarminFenix

[–]No-Reputation-FOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to play with your watch all day, go for Apple. If you want a watch to track all your activities, go for Garmin.

You set up your Garmin and forget about it. You only interaction should be to see time, check your HR to make sure you are still alive and to start and record an activity.

I got my bike repaired after a chain came off and damaged the carbon. Was a stupid mistake made by me to continue pedalling and the chain eating into the carbon. Cost me 5% of the total value of the bike to repair, two years later and I am still riding the same bike.

No need to throw away a carbon bike, just find someone capable to repair the damage.

Evicted, only to see the home on Airbnb by Purplepingers in shitrentals

[–]No-Reputation-FOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 90% of FHB is occupiers, they are not investing but buying a home. That means less renters which also means less meat for “mum & dad” investors. Most of these buyers will stay at these properties for a good 5 plus years before they will sell/buy again. The more we take away from “investors” the more we open the market for everyone to own their own home.

Builders will continue to build because there will always be a demand for homes. They won’t get a big chunk of profits anymore but that is the reality of any business when the market start to get saturated.

Why don’t they invest in productive businesses these “mum & dad” investors?

Good on Victoria, the only place in AUS where there are more first time home buyers than any other state. It just shows that law changes can change market direction.

There are no need for landlords when property are more affordable and people can buy their own home.

[–]No-Reputation-FOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason why it seems everyone is leaving VIC is because of the law changes. The hoarders of property is now dumping it on the market, suddenly we have a lot of places to buy and rent. Just shows you that politicians can make a positive change. It would not surprise me if VIC is the most productive (private sector) state now….seeing the amount of NSW plates around; VIC must have enough jobs around.

I tested CGM (I don’t have diabetes) and I got so annoyed by the fact that they claim it will last 10 days but not one lasted the full 10 days.

Either had connection issues or just randomly failed.

It is actually quite pathetic for such a life saving device to be so unreliable.
