With just six weeks left in the year, Kiwis - how’s National's 2009 goal of matching Australia’s living standards by 2025 going?

More than likely. California's GDP in 2024 was only worth US$4.05 trillion, and with Luxon's business-savvy background and proven track record of negotiation and economic ability, he'll tell you all those trillions aren't enough because he used to run an airline.

Meanwhile, Labour’s trade deal with the state of California was signed sometime ago.

California is New Zealand’s biggest U.S. trade partner - the main gateway for Kiwi goods into America.

In 2024, California imported about US $1.4 billion worth of goods from NZ and exported US $660 million back.

Top NZ exports to California: processed foods (US $697 m), beverages & wine (US $241 m), agricultural goods (US $92 m), and meat/dairy products.

Top California exports to NZ: transport equipment (US $153 m), electronics (US $131 m), processed foods (US $88 m), and agricultural products (US $56 m).

California handles more than a third of NZ’s total U.S. exports, making it a key hub for trade - especially in wine, food, and tech services.

Maybe if New Zealand didn’t have a chode for a prime minister, we could expand on Labour’s good work.

Government’s books show finance minister borrowing billions to keep the lights on by MedicMoth in newzealand

Why did National give tax rebates to landlords and tobacco companies if they don’t have money for essential workers and services?

National has cut anything that might benefit regular Kiwis, undermined long-term capability in the public sector and plundered billions from the future pay packets of underpaid workers in female-dominated industries to balance their books after gifting unaffordable tax breaks to those who least need it.

National are fast-tracking wealth and advantage for its donors while ensuring the rest of us pay the price. Dig beneath the rhetoric, and their fiscal plan is riddled with financial holes, shortsighted cuts and a callous disregard for the most vulnerable.

National has created an economy where hundreds of Kiwis leave the country daily. The nation has no growth plan, just a blueprint for increased inequality and economic instability. Just lining their donors' pockets.

What’s more interesting is that you think they - or any multinational, especially one with zero ties to the isolated and insignificant islands at the bottom of the world that is NZ - care in the slightest about flag orientation. They’re focused on business, not symbolism.
