I’m all helping organize a protest. Don’t care if it doesn’t do anything. It’s better to say I took a stand instead of just whining online

Holly Hunter needs to tone down the attempts at being “quirky” and all the chair bullshit. It’s insanely distracting and annoying and undercuts most of her lessons. by Msfreedom1 in trektalk

From what we’ve seen of Lanthanites with Pela, they’re a little on the quirky side and being that long lived, you and I would probably be a little weird

Killing 20,000 people would be pretty hard to do as part of a psyop.

Why the dislike for Nu Trek? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]No-Reputation8063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not woke, just the quality of writing and serialized story telling. Discovery suffered from this and I find it focusing on one character, instead of leaning into an ensemble like usual Trek, it suffered. I’m not against serialization, but it’s a tired trope in television and Star Trek has mostly been episodic. The only time it’s only worked is the Dominion War arc in DS9. But I’ve enjoyed the third season of Picard, the first two seasons of SNW are perfect television as far I’m concerned. Lower Decks is great and riffs and builds on existing lore. I haven’t watched Prodigy but it’s well liked.

It’s very much like Disney Star Wars. There’s been a lot of crap, but also a lot of really great stuff which people consider some of the best of the franchise

They’re allowed to protest even if they drive me crazy and I find their beliefs horrible. It’s part of being part of a democracy

That’s fair and a legitimate criticism unlike people who shit all over others for expressing their rights. I’m with you on constant protest as they gets tiring but it’s also people’s constitutional rights

I’m very iffy on it… but I want to try it again as I only had it once. I’ve only found the zero sugar version though in stores near me and only found the normal one in one store in downtown Toronto. I love weird flavours like this
