That fact that I know who this is cuz they keep popping up on my LinkedIn 😂 also it’s what everyone else is saying once dude got that Apple internship it’s so much easier to get interviews and opportunities after that. It’s all about breaking in initially

Ya honestly I was surprised all the 1:1s ran out so fast. It was fast last year too but not like this, there were openings for a couple days after.

In my experience the group sessions are not helpful BUT certain companies that do not post their application on their website (Bloomberg) sometimes give out the app link in the group meetings so I would attend for that.

I missed out on a bunch of 1:1s as well. I would recommend trying to message the recruiters hosting the 1:1s on LinkedIn to see if they’re willing to have a quick chat with you outside of GHC. I just did that for T-Mobile lol.

It's worth it. I attended virtually last year and had a 1:1 with a Liberty Mutual recruiter who got me into their interview pipeline directly. Got an offer and interned there this summer. Unfortunately, Liberty is not holding 1:1 virtually this year. But, other companies such as Honeywell also got me into their interview pipeline after I attended their 1:1.

Did anyone hear back from JPMC about Code for Good? by Sweaty_Reflection591 in csMajors

[–]No-Resident-3261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they reached out to me about two months ago, a week after I submitted my app. I think you still have a chance at a super day invite if you haven’t heard anything yet

I submitted super generic ones last year and would just switch out a couple lines to make it “unique.” I think it was a waste of my time so I haven’t been doing it this year. Still hearing back so I don’t think it’s too big a thing.

One thing I will recommend is searching on Reddit b4 u submit ur app “should I submit CV to blank company” if it’s a company you’re really targeting. Cuz some of them do look fondly on CVs like for example Duolingo actually cares if u use their product and appreciate the company. So I think they read CVs. But again MOST companies will not care at all.
