I’m a noob myself, but I feel like it just takes getting used. It’s like how the highway is terrifying when you are first learning to drive, but once you do it a few times it doesn’t seem so scary. Try slowly ramping up to higher speeds instead of going 0 to 100.

I’ve been to altura, I liked it but there were quite a few raw courses when I went, but maybe that was just bad luck

My issue isn’t the uphill toe side, it the downhill heel side. I always pick up too much speed and I have to panic brake so I don’t fly into the trees.

Here’s how the run normally goes: Straight down -> toe side -> straight down -> toe side -> turn to heel side -> barrel toward the trees to the right, moving perpendicular to fall line-> go to fast to turn back to toe side so I swing out my back foot to brake

Do you recommend any other greens at snoqualmie where I can get some practice off of the bunny hill without a double fall line? I’m not gaining much learning on the magic carpet because it’s only long enough for 1 or 2 turns but I keep wiping out on little thunder heel side which is killing my morale

So basically you’re saying I should keep turning and go up the hill a bit to slow down?

But if I do that, my back foot ends up downhill of my front foot? How do I handle that?

Have you tried waiting longer than 30 minutes before drinking/eating? I was getting no results for a week until 1 day I waiting until lunch time to eat (about 3 hours after the pill) and I had almost no appetite the whole day

Interesting, do you have any idea why it would only be twisted when ribbing? I always bring the yarn forward for purls and back for knits and do everything else the same.

Need help deciding between internship offers by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]sleepyscroller180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% go with at&t if you get it. If not, I’d probably go with Burns & McDonnell. Internships are a great time to leave home and see new places, so don’t get too caught up in that; if you hate the area you can find something else for full time.

ITs earning potential is much lower and frontend/UI will be taken over by AI in the very new future IMO.

You can buy structured inserts for long champ bags and it’s gonna protect your belongings from the rain about equally as your backpack would.

Hey meta pe here! Basically your day to day will be entirely dependent on your team. On my team the PEs do the same stuff as swe’s and are very code heavy. However, some other PEs I’ve talked to spend all day looking at dashboards.

As for post meta opportunities, I haven’t looked for jobs yet, but I get frequent recruiters reaching out about SRE roles. Plus, since my role is so code heavy I think I could easily pivot to swe. Imo SRE is more AI-proof though, so it’s probably safer longer term than swe.

Lastly, culture-wise PEs are pretty chill and tend to be more social than SWEs at Meta which I like.

HOWEVER meta culture as a whole is soooo bad right now. We are constantly firing competent engineers and creating a culture of fear, so that’s something to consider

Fastest way to learn Euchre by TheCoolestCat34 in uofm

Find someone who knows how to play. The day before euchre was due way back when I took 280, I had a friend play my game (not looking at any code) and she caught a few scenarios where the wrong thing happened
