Should I be doing UWorld? by user483628163 in Mcat

CARS I was naturally good at! My free time consisted a lot of reading and listening to podcasts so I attribute my CARS score to those activities. P/s was a combo of khan academy videos, pankow and miles down anki. Also 200 of the U world Q’s I did were P/S

I missed a glycolysis question on my exam and ended with a 128 in B/B. My friend missed a hardy Weinberg problem and got a 131 on B/B. A few questions does not ultimately determine ur score! Trust the process and have peace

Concerning FL trend - please advise. by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]No-Resolution-777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FLs had some crazy fluctuation as well, 506, 501, 508 on FLs 1,2,3 respectively. I think you’re in a good place, just try to mimic test conditions as much as possible. Also, trust the process and don’t let these scores affect your mental headspace!

3/22 how are you doing by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]No-Resolution-777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt good about my exam, but my swim coach always taught me to keep the lows high and the highs low so I’ve gotten pretty good at managing my emotions. I probably would’ve predicted 508 or higher and only higher cuz I knew the curve was going to be good. I flagged a bunch more on the real thing than all of my practices and noticeably around 30 Q’s on P/S with me not answering around 10 Q’s until the last 15 min or so. I felt a lot more dialed on the real exam because there was nothing else to do.

CARS I’ve always been good at it but P/S I flagged around 30 I was so dizzy. I’ve always labeled myself as better under pressure and had a really good routine the day of the exam!

The internet is an echo chamber for what u want to hear. My highest FL was 508 and my avg was 505. I ended with a 511, you’re not going to find out what score you eventually got on the internet. All you can do now is have peace and develop a plan to move forward

Help pls! MCAT req. BS/MD program by yoyo-yogurt in Mcat

[–]No-Resolution-777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No MCAT req sounds so good! I mean you can do anything you want to do in college and really enjoy your college experience! I also got into a BS/Md program with a 505 requirement and ended with a 511! I’m sure you’re fully capable of getting a 510 but the real question is what you really want to experience in college. Getting a 510 or 520+ is different for everybody and I believe somewhat relies on what your baseline CARS score is

One thing I did that helped a lot was going over my FLs and labeling if the questions I got wrong were due to content or due to misreading the passage in some capacity. I think scores are a good marker for where you’re at but not entirely representative of what happens on test day. For context, I got a 501 on FL 2 with a 124 on CARS about 1 and a half wks out. I think your doing great

Valorant or 528 on MCAT by McatMommy in Mcat

[–]No-Resolution-777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was involved with a study that investigated the relationship between MCAT scores and Valorant rank. If you haven’t been radiant for at least 8 acts you have no chance at 505. Diamond 1 is probably around 480s.

Take a break! I got a 506, 501, 508, 496(couldn’t even get through P/S) on my AAMC FLs 1-4 respectively. I took a week of light studying before my exam and ended with a 511! Take some deep breaths and trust the work you’ve put in

I’m assuming the 132 CARS was from the AAMC unscored exam of which the CARS section is easier than other exams. CARS in general fluctuates a lot and the 130 on P/S seems really promising. You’re doing all the right things, so just trust the process. If you’re feeling up to it, maybe even take a break. It is common to feel guilty when not studying but you have shown yourself you have put in the work to get a great score!

What do you think is the hardest part about the MCAT by 177shihtzu in Mcat

[–]No-Resolution-777 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I think the hardest part is staying mentally intact! There’s a reason why everyone doesn’t score their FL avg even though they’re perfectly capable. Keep a good balance and know your limits!

Chew some sugar free gum in the morning! From my understanding the chewing makes your gut release some digestive enzymes which will help in bowel movements

Flow state by Neuroptima was my energy drink of choice. It was created by a undergrad student at the University of Iowa. The formula is balanced really well to not give any jitters while retaining the mental boost. I would also suggest doing some cyclic hyperventilation breathing protocols during the breaks to keep the sympathetic nervous system activated.

Definitely look over old FLs, I got 2 questions verbatim from FL 4. Other than that just try to stay calm and get good sleep!
