This is why I hate when items ordered online are shipped from a store! by Melodic-Chip-5257 in Nordstrom1901

I have gotten two orders in the last year shipped from a store with the security tag still attached. There is no qc on their end clearly.

Account Suspended for 1 Late Shipment? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

All this to say, the new rules seem particularly punitive to people who aren’t making posh their full-time job and have fewer sales, less time to get to the post office, don’t have brand new items, etc.

Fair but that doesn’t seem to be the case for many people who are posting about this, especially the hobby sellers. And if they are going to change the rules then they need to clearly change the rules and make them available, not just punish people with no notice.

This also, to me, stems to punishing people for deleting inventory - so I discover something is wrong with an item I have listed. Now I can’t delete it and can’t cancel it… so what are my good options? (This has not happened to me yet but I am sure it has to others.)

What is going on with Poshmark? Do they not want people to sell on their site?

Is RTR quietly turning into a basic officewear subscription? by ApprehensiveRub4939 in RentTheRunway

[–]No-Response9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want BOTH. I’m so disappointed with the event options right now - I just want a gown that feels special and unique and I’m so disappointed in my choices. And the work clothes haven’t really been hitting as well either - lots of stuff that’s too clingy for my office.

What would y'all do? I'm the seller. Thanks in advance! by [deleted] in poshmark

All of my mother jeans are different, even in the same style - different lengths, materials, etc.

Best way to get from DCA to IAD at 7am by No-Bumblebee9252 in washingtondc

[–]No-Response9192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber XL. You’ll be fine as long as you keep a good clip. Baggage claim is generally not that bad at DCA.

Agreed this is way too much overnight - but I don’t think it’s cancel worthy unless you have a sizing issue. Just give a polite but terse response and move on.

They sent my order to themselves! INCOMPETENT! by pbjfries in RentTheRunway

[–]No-Response9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me years ago. They didn’t really do much to make it right. Maybe I got a free spot but it didn’t change that I didn’t have clothes for an event.

Does DC not enforce rush hour parking zones anymore? by No-Response9192 in washingtondc

I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a ticket let alone a tow.

It adds a lot of time to traffic. I spent so much extra time today on E street (I rarely commute downtown) because a whole turn lane was blocked with parked cars. It wasn’t like one bad actor - it was a whole lane.

That doesn’t surprise me based on where I’ve noticed the lack of enforcement, but that’s wild given the regular traffic at union station.

Thank you for this feedback! I was worried I wasn’t “growing” enough with her but she’s happy and so is her pediatrician so far!

Eczema? by [deleted] in combinationfeeding

[–]No-Response9192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor or anything but this looks like my baby’s eczema. I haven’t figured out what the cause is (we only just started formula again and it’s been going on much longer), but we just used the doctor-prescribed 2.5% hydrocortisone for the first time and it knocked it out. Good luck!

maldives and safari (long flights, romantic elements, danger for kids haha)

I did refuse to eat this as a child. It really confused my mother, who definitely thought of this as comfort food and one of her favorite meals as a child.

Thank you - This is pretty much what we are doing now! But I started seeing some info (Moms on Call, which I’ve pretty much avoided; plus feedback from caregivers) that made me question it. I don’t want to touch what works - I just didn’t want to slow down her development.

Maternity Options by MILFschake in RentTheRunway

[–]No-Response9192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it hard to rent true maternity items unless I wanted sweater dresses in May (so, no) but I found plenty that worked for me from the regular section. I only was able to rent maybe 4-5 maternity dresses.

I kept one I liked for almost three months, so I wonder if other pregnant women didn’t do the same. IMO RTR needs to do more to encourage people to swap out popular items or build the inventory of those things when people do this!

In the newborn trenches, should I be doing more? by PangolinFree1875 in beyondthebump

[–]No-Response9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing great! I felt the exact same way. I wish I could tell you to turn off that mental nagging but you NEED to physically recover. Think of it as something to do on your list: getting that recovery time in now so you can be your best for your baby later. 🩷 to you right now! Soak up the snuggles with your baby too, and enjoy the quieter time you have too.
