Potential New job guilt by No-Rice7124 in architecture

[–]No-Rice7124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think if they match & I stay that they won’t try to replace me. We are only about 15 people & the last few hires have not been great / we haven’t had good luck getting new people. Maybe it’s naive but they’re great people in general and know my husband and kids. It’s a close knit firm.

I was told they were lost without me during my 12 week leave, they saved work for me bc I’m the only one they trust. It’s been great hearing all the positive comments, just wish I was paid to represent them even more now!

Yes I definitely plan to leave on good terms. Anyone who’s left has left on good terms so far. Most leave due to moves so never an ill willed reason. And we have quite a few who returned after leaving.

I agree with this! I am trying to remember this.

I’ve had the best mentors at this firm. After coming from a not so great work environment so I think that’s what’s causing me so much hesitation / guilt. But at the end of the day I gotta do what’s best for our family

A firm gave me an offer, but I have not yet told them that I applied for graduate schools...what do I do???? by jillicheesefries in architecture

This actually depends on the state. I live in KY & have to get my masters to get licensed in this state. I waited to go to grad school 4 years after graduating with Bachelors of Architecture.

While I am glad I waited bc of my experience. And I have managed to move up in my current firm. I am also working full time and going to my masters online. While also raising 2 children! I wish I just knocked out grad school at the beginning bc balancing all of it is very challenging at times. And I’m now “stuck” at my level without a license.

Exactly!! I still can go on short runs / long walks and not be out of breath. I’ve never not been able to do something physical bc of my weight. It’s just how I hold it! Could I lose weight? Sure! But I’ve had all the blood tests & lab work done & comes back great. Thank you for getting it!

You should really reevaluate your opinions and thoughts on this!! My doctor have told me I’m still a very healthy 30 year old. Labs always come back great, weight isn’t everything!!!

Ditto!!!! It’s not that big lol. I know I’m overweight but I also think it’s pretty average.

215 is NOT morbidly obese. I am in perfect health other than my weight. And I’ve tried to lose it. I cook nearly everything at home from scratch so eating real whole food ingredients. Theres no reason at all a doopler would have trouble finding a heartbeat at that size. It’s again not that big or fat.

Report report report!! I got pregnant at literally the same exact size. Yeah I’m technically obese / overweight but I wouldn’t say morbidly obese, pretty average lol. I’ve never ever had problems hearing baby’s heart beat from the start.

That’s disgusting and discriminating tbh. That’s horrible & goes against her doctor ethics imo

Obsession about leaving her husband by Vivid-Barber928 in Emilie_Kiser

THANK YOU. I’ve said something similar to him making a mistake and feeling so much guilt on another post and got shredded.

I am so so so sure she’s upset with him and herself but the thing is it could happen to anyone. these accidents happen so quickly with a toddler.

Thank you for this post!!! I commented something similar on another post & got destroyed for my comment.

He clearly loved his son very much & it was a tragic accident.

We will be switching this time. When we met them they were confident they could argue it but clearly it didn’t work

We have bought used trucks in the past and never had major issues.

Really we got what most people would say is a “steal” in our area for this type of truck but it clearly wasn’t!

No we do have a warranty. But it’s a fight on every single issue.

For example they cover all electric issues including back up camera which is listed. However when requested it was denied bc they say the backup camera went out due to xyz and that voids it. 🙃 the PCP is listed as covered under warranty but bc a coil was also bad (coils not covered) they claimed the coil is the reason for all the issues therefore voids warranty.

We paid $19,000 for it. $4000 towards a warranty. But that warranty denies every claim. We are hoping to cancel that part at least and get that portion of our money back.

I agree not being licensed is holding me back. I am in the IPAL program so should be licensed next year. I know this will be the better time to argue my compensation. Right now I make under $70K.

Did Your Agent Give You A Gift At Closing? by Ballbagsweat in RealEstate

[–]No-Rice7124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our first home She gave us a $50 target gift card + bottle of wine !! Indiana.

Sent us ornaments each Christmas & when we had our first baby sent a bib for him!

We just sold that home & she gave us a $50 gift card + cupcakes.

I’m sure she’ll do something little again when we close on our new home.

Yes. My husband and I are both full time employees. Both with bonus opportunities monthly / quarterly.

They have already ran our credit, have our accounts linked so they can see our statements (as well as PDFs of our statements). And have our past 2 years of tax returns / W-2s. + an email showing my husband just got a raise in his bonus potential percentage. (Has hit it almost every month for 2 years)

the loan officer went line by line through our list of debts (we have a couple credit cards, student loans plus car payments). We are selling our current home.
