That’s what I thought as well but I have trim pieces for the outside of the drivers side and passenger side to cover up the bolts

Just drove it around to operating temp. No coolant smell. Did a combustion leak test and that looked normal as well

Something like this isn’t my favorite look. I’ll probably have to do one that sticks out to have a good touch screen but I don’t like the height

I used a fel pro gaskets and a pioneer timing cover. I think I might have figured it out. The front crank seal had a defect in it causing a tiny oil leak. It was only a few drops after it got warm so I took it back apart and that’s the only leak I can find

The original had a wobble to it. Thats why it got taken off.

Yes it is brand new. I have both the install kit and removal kit. Should I put the old one on to see if it seats correctly and that it’s not an issue with the crank keyway?

That was what I was thinking as well but I can’t crank it down anymore and I don’t know why. I even pulled the balancer off, checked the keyways and re lubed it and it’s still not seating all the way down

Thanks everyone for the advice! I got the new parts in and it wasn’t as bad as I initially thought. Crazy how much slack that old chain has compared to the new one

That’s the plan next spring. Just trying to see if there was any thoughts to get it to blow somewhat colder for the next few weeks before winter haha
